25% of people on CNN voted Ted Kennedy as the Most Influential Kennedy brother. I'd like to find those roughly 15000 people and break their hands. JFK was voted 67% and RFK only 8%? It's obvious that the readers of CNN aren't very impa...ssioned about their history. It's a shame to see a nation jumping on the bandwagon of a Senator who I will admit did some great things in his life (apartheid, the IRA, fair pay) but was also a huge failure both (and more importantly) in politics and life. We mourn the loss of a human life, but we must also look in retrospect with cold eyes.

I see people scrambling and worrying about health care reform now that EMK is dead. I find it pathetic and appalling to hear that fellow Americans are pushing this Health Care Reform plan to be passed just for the sake of reforming health care, and nothing else. We know the system is flawed, and in some aspects seriously, but when the government ... Read Morerushes to pass legislation that pulls on the heartstrings of emotional citizens (who literally have no clue what is included in the plan) then fatal mistakes are made. Americans are urged to play an active role in deciding the future of our country. That means we read legislation and keep our elected officials in check, not blindly follow them off into the desert because they've assured us the promised land. Don't be stupid. We've seen socialized health care fail miserably around the world. Get off of your 'holier than thou' pedestal and wade through the health care reform bill instead of paddling down shit creek with your nose in the air.

Necessary Justice?

I Stumbled Upon an article today about a man called Jermoe Ersland. Mr. Ersland was working at a pharmacy when two younger men walked in and tried to hold the place up. And here's where it gets interesting. Mr. Ersland shot one of the young men whilst the other fled. After shooting the man, Mr. Ersland retrieved another gun and shot the man, who was lying on his back incapacitated, five more times in his stomach. The man died. Now, old Jerome Ersland is charged with first degree murder.

Now, I'm at odds with myself over this one. On one end I think that Jerome went slightly overboard when he shot the assailant five more times. But on the other I think that he should have shot him in the head five more times. I mean, if you try to rob me or harm me or my employees (Jerome had thought that the assailants had shot one of his coworkers because of her crying) I'm going to kill you. That's all there is to it. If you have the balls to perpetrate a crime, you should have the bals to get shot at and killed.

Now on to the good stuff. The assailants were two young black "men" and the one that Jerome killed was 16 (which is tragic of course, and the other robber was 14). Now the president of the Oklahoma NAACP, Anthony Douglas, is calling this an "execution-style murder" and is praising the DA for bringing the charges up. Of course Anthony Douglas isn't saying anything about the scum who helped the two teens rob the store...of course not, because they're probably black too, and the NAACP isn't really concerned about the black community until a white guy is involved in the story. I hate the NAACP if you haven't figured that one out yet. They only help people when they run into a situation that they can brand as racist. I don't think they truly care for the advancement of the lowest of the low, which is who really matters. They're bastards.

Anyways, some anonymous donor got Jerome out on $100,000 bail and he is now awating trial. Pretty crazy story. I'm not sure I would have done it, but at least him and the other employees are still alive.

The following is a small email thread that I sent out a couple weeks ago. I involves my Uncle Miron, a wise old sage of a man, and myself (I get no cool afterthought).

I agree, he makes an excellent argument, but to me, it is just that, a very good point of view backed-up with historical facts and it is hard to argue with Rev. Cozzens' logic, so I will not even try. Instead, I would like to give my humble thoughts as to why a real hard look needs to be taken as to why priests should or should not be allowed to marry. Too, unlike the Rev., I am not going to even try to get into the mind of God. Additionally, large, old, entrenched "businesses" like the Roman Catholic Church move slow. Gosh, look at all the negative fallout that came out of and still exists as a result of Vatican II, but that is a whole other issue.

To allow priests to marry just to solve the shortage is not a good reason, it is too simple of an answer to, what I believe, is a serious and economic issue. My Mom used to say, How can a priest give marriage advice when they have never been married?" I never bought in to her reasoning and we always were on opposite sides of the issue of married priests with Mom being pro-marriage. In all due respect to my Mom, her question, which is only a tiny bit of her side of the issue, is the same as saying that if I am depressed, I need to go to a psycologist who is also depressed in order to get help and one in a wheelchair at that would be better yet! Now I do not want to argue with the Carl Yung "Wounded Healer Theory" which I believe is valid in many ways, but I digress.

Priests, I believe, should be in the business of saving souls, bringing folks to have a personal relationship with Jesus and tending the flock. They should not have to worry about all kinds of "non-religious" work that takes then away from their true work at hand. A parish the size of St. Elizabeth should at least have a part-time, if not a full-time, business manager to handle the day-to-day operations of the parish. Surly a simplification, but Father Dale should not have to be concerned if the parish monthly utility bills have been paid. Spring-A-Rama is next week, a time when the parish community has the opportunity to come together, mingle and have fellowship. Sorry, it is about earning money to pay bills. Same with bingo, which a priest usually has to take time out of his "important" duties to say hi to the folks.

If we, the flock, want a church building, a school building, a rectory, etc., it needs to be paid for, period. The people in the pews do not want to hear about finances, hey, we all know the Roman Catholic Church is wealthy beyond belief why does our parish need "my" hard earned money? Let the Vatican sell some of those rare paintings and send the money to St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church! All of this brings me to the economic issues surrounding priests being allowed to marry. If your parish priest is married he is entitled to a salary that will support his family. Too, if the parish, at no cost, is not going to supply a private home for the priest and his wife, he needs a bigger salary. Throw a few or more children into the mix and instead of the priest being able to have a clear head while visiting the sick in the hospital, he is worried if he has enough money to purchase ground meat to go with the Hamburger Helper that is planned for tonight's dinner at home with the wife and children. No cost health insurance would be a nice job related benefit for the priest and his family along with a food allowance.

Oh yeah, I can just hear those pious folks on the parish committee, "I have to pay for part or all of my health benifits, why not Father". "Food allowance, are you kidding, let Father apply for Food Stamps". "Better yet, why doesn't Father's wife get a job outside the home just like my wife; I do not care if they have five children, that horney couple, why don't they practice birth control". $50,000 a year salary, ha, I do not earn that much and no priest worth his weight would even ask for that kind of money, don't they take some poverty vow, and too, no priest is worth that kind of money, he does not do any real labor". And on and on and on, the folks just do not want to pay the piper. Also, what about the stress of having a wife and children? Selfish, you bet, I want my priest treating me, at any time I want him to, as if I am the only concern he has during the moments he spends with me and he better be available on my time schedule, his wife and kids will just have to wait. "Father gave me some advice I did not appreciate, let's take a vote to fire him, you mean the last parish leaders gave him a five year contract, well, let's just buy him out and get a priest who cares about my feelings".

Purely from an economic standpoint, I do not think the folks are willing to pay the price of married priests. As it is, so many already balk at giving to support their parish.

Then there is the bad logic, if priests were allowed to marry there would not have been or ever will be another sex scandle. Not true! Being married, I believe, has nothing to do with perverts going after young boys. Again, another issue altogether.

If you are drawn to the priesthood then go for it with its rules and regulations. Every vocation comes with a price and a set of work rules. If you stray with one or many female relationships, that is between you and God. Everyone reading this knows of a certain priest who had affairs with women and even fathered a child, and I am willing to bet that every one of us would agree he was one of the "best" priests we ever knew, a priest among priests, who did what most of us would probably agree is what priests should do, watched over and nurtered the flock given to him to care for and love.

One question, why have you always thought priests should be allowed to marry? I would very much like you to expand on that and tear into my words above as I enjoy a lively debate of serious issues facing us. Take care...Uncle M

While I agree with most of what you say U.M., I don't think that finances should prevent priests from being married. Nor do I think that a priest needs to be payed enough to support a family. There is nothing in canonical law or anywhere else that says the wife can't work to support the bulk of the household. A priest being married is no different. If it is the economic impact of the married priest on the congregation, then the priest's wife needs to get a job. They are no different from any other ordinary wife. At least that's how I see it.

This is purely a matter of the church sticking to a decision that some guy made 800 years ago or so, just because. I understand that you want the priest to have his congregation at the front of his mind at all times, but what's the difference between his longing for married life constantly tugging at his mind and his eight year old's baseball game at three o'clock?

As for the priest who had affairs with women and fathered a child...I genuinely don't know who you are talking about. Maybe that was before my time. But you called him one of the "best" priests. So obviously his affair didn't affect his duties and in that shows that a married priest has all of the potential to do his job accordingly.

When a company has a set of rules that hinders many of it's potential employees, so much so that no one applies for a job there, they need to change those rules.

Your points are well taken and well presented. However, having been married for almost 31 years, the amount of stress of just being married, let alone having child/ren can, at times be so powerful that you can find yourself going to the brink. Married priests, just like regular folks, are also going to end up divorced priests, how do we deal with that...it is forbidden in the Roman Catholic Church. If you do not like the rules a job presents to you, do not apply. Again, my point that if the idea of married priests is just to attract more applicants to solve the shortage problem, to me, that is not a sound decision. Non-Roman Catholic married reverand's wifes have demands on them too, like having tea with the ladies, organizing whatever, etc. I do not think the wife of a priest should have to juggle a career, along with every thing else expected of her, just to put food on the table. She could be more of an asset to her husband in helping behind the scenes and even helping to win over converts. We need more lay people involved in the church and that does not mean the wife of a priest. Perhaps I am stuck in my traditional background, but I want my priest to be focousing on the flock, not being worried that his wife and/or child/ren have the flu and are puking their guts out. To me, priests are not like everyone else, it take a special person to be a priest as it would take a special kind of woman to be married to a priest. She would have to understand that her marriage is going to take a back seat to her husband's primary work duties. The priest is "Father" as representative of our Father in heaven who almost certainly is not married...Jesus said there is no marriage in heaven. Too, I believe a married priest deserves to be paid a decent salary, provided with housing, retirement, and so forth. If his job is just like very other job, which I do not believe it is, then he should receive a commpetitive salary with benefits, period. At this point, in closing, I am still very interested in your explaination as to why you have always felt that Roman Catholic priest should be allowed to be married, what is the benefits, do you see any drawbacks?

I can't honestly speak to what married life is like, only what I've seen. My parents, while it always seems like a good time, must have gone through hard times. I have no way of really knowing that as they are both finance and personal stuff ninjas who don't ever share that stuff with us...and probably for good reason.

Nonetheless, worry about divorced priests is like worrying about getting in a car accident every time you get into a car. It doesn't help anyone and it will never stop it from happening. Allowing priests access to the internet is allowing pornography directly into their homes...should we disallow the internet due to its possibility of sin? After all, priests are truly just men, and men sin...sometimes constantly.

When I said that allowing priests to marry could be used to attract more applicants, I suppose I misspoke. What I meant was that I am sure there are many, many men who are called to the priesthood but do not act on it due to their desire to marry and have a family of their own in Christ. In my eyes it doesn't make any sense, religiously or otherwise, to forbid a priest to marry.

I also don't think that any more stress would be put on a wife of a priest than would be put on the wife a school superintendent or community leader. Sure their husbands may make more money, but that is not always the case. To say that priests should be allowed to marry in part because of any undue stress presented to the spouse isn't part of the argument. If a woman wants to enter into a relationship with a priest prior to or after his ordination, they will surely understand the implications of their rule. Not just any woman would agree to those terms. And if they do agree to those terms I have no pity on them.

When a priest is ordained, his memory isn't erased. He still has family...brothers, sister, nieces, nephews mothers and fathers. Any one of those family members could take his mind off of his flock at any given time. I know that when Jaedon, Carmin, Olivia or Luke is sick I constantly think about them. However, that doesn't stop me from performing my duties. To think that a priest couldn't do the same isn't necessarily fair. I know it is different when it is your wife or children with the problems, but I think my point is somewhat clear.

All of the excuses for not allowing a priest to marry are trivial in my opinion. The benefits of allowing a priest to marry are widespread. Anywhere from greater numbers of men applying to be priests to happier more fulfilled lives of men who have always wanted to be husbands and fathers in the biological sense. There is no biblical context in which disciples were forbade from marrying. If Jesus didn't have a problem with it, I don't think some zealous 12th century bishop or pope should.

Holocaust Deniers (deniers really looks like it's spelled wrong)

If you haven't figured it out yet, I think the Intarwebz should be a place where you can go, do or say whatever the hell you want. If certain websites don't allow what you have to say, then go somewhere else or create your own little piece of virtual grass to piss on (like I did). What drives me insane is when people start to infringe on the basic principle of free speech, no matter how crazy or ridiculous it may sound.

Recently, the brother of millionaire Mavericks owner Mark Cuban (Pittsburgh!!), Brian Cuban decided to wage a personal war against Holocaust deniers who carved a niche for themselves over at Facebook by sending Zuckerberg a letter about it. Of all things to fucking worry about, Briann Cuban thinks the 300 members spread across five or so groups are an apparent threat. His letter is a follow-up to a previous article in which he reprints his letter to Facebook where he tattles like a school-girl on the five Holocaust Denying groups (of which, only three are operating). His first mistake is claiming that Facebook is a prime example of,"social media where anonymity protects deniers like a white sheet" when clearly Facebook is one of the biggest personal social websites...people aren't hiding behind anything when they join groups like that. Shit, all of their friends were probably updated when they joined the group.

He then goes on to note that there, "is no such thing as a 1st Amendment private right of free speech in the United States" and uses this to pretend that he believes that Facebook has the right to put anything on their site, but really believes that Facebook has the right to CENSOR anything on their site. He claims that because Facebook's ToS protect international law, the Holocaust denier groups are specifically breaking the law in countries where denying the holocaust is illegal, which is ridiculous (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Israel, Slovakia and Switzerland). I call bullshit. The way I see it, when you start censoring groups across the board because their words or ideas are illegal in one place then you leave yourself open to censoring everything or anything that offends anyone. I wish Frank Zappa were still alive today..."We're talking about words."

Cuban's miasma goes on in his second "open letter to Facebook" to ask Zuckerberg why Facebook decided to allow the groups, as if Zuckerberg owed him an explanation...as if Cuban had some sort of paying interest in Facebook. Like he said in the beginning of his little girly rant, there is no garauntee of free speech in a private setting or in a private business. Zuckerberg has no need or obligation to explain himself.

Furthermore, if Cuban's real quest is to make sure groups on Facebook are within the ToS why isn't he trying to get Christian groups banned. After all, Facebook is now available in Arabic and Saudi Arabia.

When you begin to censor the internet you begin to censor thought and intellectual property. When you censor thought, you've lost all freedom. Seriously, Brian Cuban, WTF...

On a related note, I think that people who deny the holocaust are probably retarded. And possibly severely. I also think that their opinion is just as vital as those who believe that the holocaust happened. To deny people the right to debate things like denying the holocaust is to deny the basic social needs of any society. Open free speech and debate is what drives societies to greatness. When you limit that free speach and make those people you disagree with go underground, you create a hostile caldera of extremism, resentment and hatred. Good luck with that.

Paying for Necessity

I'm not talking about food or water, but the news. I'm convinced that paying attention to and understanding the News/World is an absolute necessity today. I mean, unless you're living in the woods off the land. Which, frankly wouldn't be that bad of a life. You could grow a big giant beard, shoot stuff, fish and maybe even farm. No cell phones or facebook. Sounds awesome to me.

Anyways, it seems ol' Rupert Murdoch thinks that the current system of reporting the news online is "malfunctioning" which means he's not making enough money. He claims that customers would pay handsomely to access the Wall Street Journal online. Until someone hacks it. Or realizes that they can get any important news story that the Wall Street Journal would report on over at the Drudge Report or any number of free online news sites.

Murdoch says, "The current days of the Internet will soon be over." I think he's out of his fucking mind. There is no way in hell that people will pay for the news online. No chance. I mean, think about the other things people DON'T pay for online that are MUCH more important on a relative level to people: porn (there's so much free porn it's ridiculous), movies, music and books. All which are more important to people on a personal level than online news. Everyone gets free local channels providing that you have a TV, antennaes (pre digital conversion, which is basically free) and power. That's all you need to get the news...even if it's on a local level, there are still national news reports broadcast on local channels. There is NO WAY people will pay for their news online. Rupert Murdoch is a fucking asshole globalist bitch.

Paying for shit in general pisses me off, let alone digital material on the internet. Which is why I refuse to pay for anything online. I haven't bought a DVD in probably 5 years with a couple exceptions (like anniversary edition of Monster Squad, cause it's the shit) and I rarely buy CDs unless I have a good reason (recently bought the new Zao CD which was an 8000 limited run with a T-Shirt!!). Other than those rare occurrences, I refuse. Most of the new movies that come out are shit anyways. I saw the latest X-Men movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, before all of the special effects were added and it totally sucked. Not because of the special effects either. Things like that save me money. I also saw Return of the King before it came out in theaters. Amazing. And that got me to GO to see it in the theaters. It's a double edged sword. I know that at least one of my brothers doesn't agree with me and one does. The one who doesn't agree with me is wrong in disagreeing but he won't admit it even though he knows it. Regardless, long live the Bay!

So I was thinking about the whole ~~Swine~~ Mexico Flu outbreak and it had my conspiracy gears turning, in low gear, but turning nonetheless. I'm happy to say that the Mexico Flu isn't anything like Queen Bavmorda's curse. So, we're all good there.

It seems that in the wake of epidemics like SARS, Mad-Cow disease, bird-flu and now Mexico-Flu one thing (besides death) that emerges is world-wide concern, over-thinking and in some cases panic. I was at Hobby Airport picking up a friend and saw two people with medical masks on. In my opinion, that's absolute insanity.

When you stop to think how excitable the global community is when an "epidemic" is announced, how easy would it be to engineer one? Let's just say the government has a flu strain that kills one in ten people that contract it and leave the other people sickly for a couple weeks. What stops them from using an epidemic like that from striking panic and fear into the feeble minds of the American and Global community only then to declare marshal law upon it's citizens to "protect" and isolate them. It's literally that easy.

One way to spread it to assure that people catch it is through those damn mosquito sprayers. For those of you who don't live in an area where this happens I'll explain what this is. Overnight, usually around midnight, trucks that are marked and sometimes unmarked drive around the neighborhoods with tanks affixed to their beds. From those tanks a small pole is extended upwards and sprays whatever the hell they're spraying up into the air behind the vehicle. I have a HUGE problem with this happening for the simple reason that literally anything could be in there. Anything. As a private citizen I think it is ridiculous for the local, state or federal government to be able to spray some mysterious chemical, even if it is indeed for mosquitoes, around me when I haven't agreed to it. That may sound ridiculous, but then again you probably trust everything the government tells you.

I started trolling /b/ around 4 years ago, maybe even 5. It's a blurred line that doesn't really matter. I'm not a newfag and that's all that matters.

It seems that anon, sometimes referred to as Legion has made a mockery out of Time.com and their online poll of most influential people. The founder of 4chan, moot (aka Christopher Poole, CP) has recently been voted Time.com's most influential person. To be honest, all hacking aside, this is probably true when you take into account what has stemmed from 4chan's /b/ board. Almost anything you see on the internet that's funny started on /b/, including those stupid pictures of the lolcats. So his position as number one on the list is most likely deserved unless you count anonymous as a person, then I say they are the most influential. But it seems that some foul play was at work this year at Time.com's online poll. If you look closely at the first letter of the names for the first 21 people on the top 100, something interesting happens. "Marblecake, also the game" appears. Legion has struck again.

What came first, the motorcyclist or the motorcycle license? More on that later.

A day after my father castigated me about not having done the title change or insurance on my FJ1200, I got pulled over for "being a dick" as the bastard police officer said (I can't stand cops...I was warming up the highly inefficient rear tire by going left to right in my lane). My Dad either jinxed me, or is clairvoyant. I think he definitely jinxed me. Anyways, I was told by the cop that he was letting me go easy and giving me a ticket for no license and no insurance, when he COULD have tacked on reckless driving. He also told me I could go to the local HPD substation to resolve the ticket after I did my insurance and got my license. I kept my mouth shut and drove home (I wanted to laugh at him, but I refrained). After getting insurance, transferring the title I got my license (more on that later) and went to resolve the ticket this morning. When I went to the substation the kind ladies assisted me (after they got off their cell phones on personal calls). I was told that my insurance ticket was dropped but that my license would only be lessened to 25 bucks. That pissed me off but whatever, at least it wasn't a total of 425 dollars like it could have been with both charges. But what really grabbed my ass was the court fee. 67 fucking dollars!! WTF is up with that? That shits highway robbery! Not only do they get paid on tax day and through fines and whatnot, but then they have to charge an outrageous "court" cost to boot, with no actual court appearance. I asked the lady if the 67 dollars was for an actual court appearance and she told me it didn't matter whether or not I went to court, the fee was always assessed. I wanted to punch her computer in the face but I didn't. I just sat there silently with a smile on my face for about 10 seconds and then said OK. After that I was called up to the desk again to sign an electronic pad. As I approached and picked up the pen to sign I realized that I had no idea what I was signing. I asked the lady what the hell I was signing and asked her for a copy of it and she said she didn't have anything for me. So I asked her to turn her monitor around so I could read it. Turns out it was a waiver of rights because I was refusing a trial...something you should be told to read before signing. I was really pissed at this point. How many people have signed that pad without even asking the lady behind the desk what the fuck they were signing. That shit should be illegal and they should be required to tell the person signing what exactly they are relinquishing. DOn't get me wrong, I am a big proponent of personal responsibility, but they didn't even give me a print out. So fuck them, that shit's gay.

Now for the motorcycle license. This one is fucking ridiculous. So, we all know how terrible the DMV is...that's a tired old subject that seems to be universal no matter what state you're in so I'm not going to talk about the wait or shit like that (frankly, it didn't even take that long). My problem is with the logistics behind the actual driving test and how you have to do it when on a motorcycle. It seems the age old question of the chicken and the egg hasn't been answered, or even contemplated by the folks at Texas DOT. Get this, to do your motorcycle driving test, you must have a licensed motorcyclist drive your motorcycle to the DMV while you drive a follow vehicle for the examiner to sit in whilst they grade you on your driving skills. This is a big fucking problem. Consider this: what if you don't have any friends who drive motorcycles, what if you don't have any friends (like you just moved to Houston), what if (like most people) all of your friends work during the week? Any and all of those things can prohibit you from ever getting your motorcycle license. How does this make any sense? Well, the more I thought of it the more I realized that it is just a money making scam. It seems the only possible way to get your license other than the DMV is to take a Motorcycle Safety Foundation three day course (which is fucking nuts) for something like $100 to $300. These are usually offered by bigger dealers and some community colleges and the motorcycles are typically provided. Discounts are given if you purchase a new bike from the dealer and sometimes even a helmet of some previously decided worth is also thrown into the deal. This is all bullshit though. We provide the DMV with both equipment and salaries through our tax dollars and WE still have to provide a following vehicle? How is that even remotely fair? The whole system is a sham. I was lucky enough to have a friend come with me on a friday he luckily had off...but that's not the end of the story. When the tough guy Trooper came out to my buddies truck which had his wife and kids in it he refused to use the truck because the children would be a liability. WHAT? This was fucking news to me. Apparently, my buddy Jon is unable to safely drive his vehicle with his kids in the car AND an examiner. He was PISSSSSED and started yelling to me and at the trooper about how it was bullshit. The trooper then got tough with me and said I wasn't allowed to take the test and that I had to come back. I told him to shove it and that my friends actions don't reflect on me. By a stroke of pure luck, the guy in front of me in line was also taking his motorcycle test and his driver offered to be my follow driver for the test (motorcycle riders DO stick together). So all in all it worked out, but was a much bigger pain in the ass than it ever has to be.

I know this isn't news or political, but it's definitely something that is fucked up with the government here in Texas. Seriously.

Rick Santelli is the Tea Master

I posted this video on my Gaycebook a month or two ago and completely forgot about it. Rick Santelli, a floor reporter for CNBC, made a great rant in February that essentially started the new Tea Party protests. He said, "We’re thinking of having a Chicago Tea Party in July. All you capitalists that want to show up to Lake Michigan, I’m gonna start organizing."

I know this is old news for a lot of you out there, but it's good to remember where ideas like this come from. He's a good guy to keep an eye on...maybe he'll run for office some day.

Clear Lake Tea Party Tax Day Protest Thing

So...I didn't get to hear Ron Paul speak. That's what I get for waiting around for friends to show up. But no big deal cause they're good friends and they help me out when I need it. I'm not sure I can say the same for RP, but still...

Anyways, I showed up around 18:50 or so pretty much amazed. There had to be around 2000 people there, maybe even more. That's a testament to the protest organizers and the people of Clear Lake and the surrounding area. I was genuinely surprised.

What I wasn't surprised by was the complete lack of media at the event. But that's to be expected considering the big protest was up at Jones Plaza in downtown Houston.

I however take all of this local protesting with a grain of salt...if that is even the right saying to use. The only thing, in my opinion, that these "protests" did was make everyone feel like they protested something. And they did, to some extent. But I am a little more extreme than that. I personally believe that a protest should disrupt the very things you are protesting. Hence, protest the capitol building in your state or city. Having the main protest at Jones Plaza was ridiculous. I will assume that someone actually tried to have it at the capitol and was turned away. But you know what, fuck them and do it any way. I don't have any excuse for why I didn't do it, so I'm being somewhat of a hypocrite. But then again, my heart isn't fully into the protest via Tea. I'd rather not pay my damn taxes. Yet the whole jail thing is a little ominous. I'll stick to my guns and if anything goes down, I'll be ready. Unless they have a tank, cause that would suck. Big Time. I mean, I'd put up a fight, but it's a tank, ya know?

Enough with the tanks. I did manage to throw my own tea bags into the lake in the spirit of the evening. I think that was illegal though. Regardless, it was some Celestial Seasonings Mandarin Orchard and the shit's good. I should used some Lipton's or something. Whatever. At least a little part of Clear Lake around the tea bags now tastes good.

A New Hope

I'm not talking about Pres. B. Hussein Obama, I'm talking about myself...or you. Let me explain that a little better because that sounds conceited.

What I mean by "A New Hope" is that the new American Citizen, the one who's pissed off at his government for constantly betraying him, is the only person we can rely on now that it seems we're headed for severely choppy waters on the USS B. Hussein Obama.

I've been away for quite some time, almost 1.5 years. I suppose that in my complacency was lost my fervor for all things news related. But a new spark has arisen in me and a fire is burning right through my skin. That was sort of poetic, in a gay kind of way. Oh well. Nonetheless, I plan to write weekly if not daily about the issues I think are important. I hope I can be more diligent as I see this particular moment in history to be a defining time for not only Americans, but the world at whole. With the nameless driving towards a global government, it is important that we all take time out of our day to realize how evil that very notion is.

I'm planning on going to the Tea Party Protest tonight at Clear Lake Park. I'll be writing about how lame or great it was tomorrow.

EDIT: I just found out the man himself, Congressman Ron Paul, will be speaking at the Clear Lake Tea Party...which, is pretty damn exciting because RP is a BA. There's also a Facebook group set up for the Clear Lake Tea Party with news on future tea parties and a blog. Check it out, son.

I took a class called GD100 during my last semester at PSU. It was an online graphic design course which offered up some boring projects. However, one project shined for me. We had to create a poster that conveyed a message...I think I did that...

Those images were taken from a London protest over the recent publication of some cartoons depicting the Prophet of the Sword, aka Mohammed. As you can see...well, I won't patronize, I think you can see the irony.

However, that isn't the reason why I brought this up. It seems the British have made a great leap forward by imprisoning 4 of those protesters for "inciting murder and racial hatred". And again the British people and Police were met with crowds of protesting Moslems holding signs with slogans such as, "British Police Homegrown Terrorist," and "British Police Go To Hell." Babarism at it's greatest!!!

Although this is a great moment for Britian, I am still beside myself because the global media scene will never pick this story up. It will never show how ironic Islam at its core really is. Our system of global media has beed hijacked by liberal fundamentalists and Islamic Apologists. I am afraid it is almost too late for a resurgence of truth in the news media...

Remember folks, the only way to ensure the survival of your family and yourself is armed resistance. Fight for your friends, family and your right of Faith till death.

It seems like our Gas Giant neighbor, no not Jupiter, Hugo Chavez is dealing with a little issue called: CENSORSHIP. While not as bad as China is, (who uses ultimate censorship, even by having contracts with Google to censor searches) Venezuela is beginning to look a lot like our Red friend Cuba (yet not as extreme as Iran or Saudi Arabia, or for that matter, ANY Islamic government). The communist Venezuelan government was faced with a student protest (ever hear of Tiananmen Square protests of 1989?? click the link and watch) over accusations that a TV station had incited violence against the government. The station in question is Globovision. Chavez, among other things had this to say, "They don't know, the poor things, that they are the ones being manipulated." I must say, that freaking quote is AWESOME!!!!! There is not a better quote to sum up the irony that is dictator led Communism. The government ALWAYS knows what's best and the people are poor sheep. It's laughable at best. Chavez is a filthy dictator who deserves to have his heart fed to him. His oil programs for poor black neighborhodds are an incredible example of how HE has manipulated those in need. And unfortunately, Black leaders allow it to happen, as they always have...but that's off topic. Nonetheless, read the article, it's pretty good.

Also on CNN was a little literary device I like to call foreshadowing. It seems that again Iran isn't giving in to the U.N. (wow, they're really useful). Iran has also refused to heed U.N. Resolutions and demands. Does this ring a bell for anyone? I'll give you a hint: This nation and leader denied 17 straight U.N. Resolutions. Not to mention Saddam's Secrets, written by a Saddam Iraqi Regime General Georges Sada....

I have said almost all there is to say about Islam and the way I feel about it. From the Hadiths to the Ninth Surah, I have criticized the actions of Traditionalist Muslims (a Muslim who practices his religion). This story is another example of the simplistic disregard for human life that plagues the terror sticken Middle East (not to mention the Muslim African Nations too). Twenty Five men who were standing in line to better their country, to make a sacrifice for the goodwill of their nation were destroyed by a coward following the rule of the Qur'an. It is a true shame that people live like this, but something interesting is brought up. After all of the times this has happened, after the many men who have died standing in line to become police officers for their country, the Iraqi men continue to stand in line. They have refused to let the Terrorists from Iran, Jordan, Syria and Saudi Arabia kill their hope and their pride.

For our Congress to suggest that this war is not worth fighting is an offence against every Iraqi man who has died standing in line to better his country.

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new laws to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government, a program costing Australian taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. CNN Article on Workman's "Last Meal"

CNN has been intermittently reporting, for the last week or so, about a death row inmate named Philip Workman. His story is an interesting one, to me at least because I couldn't figure out how in the hell he was on death row. He had killed a cop, or at least that's what is said about him. He had just robbed a Wendy's to get some drug money and while outside of the restaurant a scuffle ensued and an officer was killed. When I asked my brother how the hell Workman ended up on death row he said it might have had something to do with the fact that you can be charged with first degree murder if someone dies when you are committing a felony...like armed robbery. Even if the person just randomly has a heart attack, if there is any inkling that it had to do with the felony, you can be charged with first degree. I didn't look that up but it seems like the reason he is on death row. Either that or the whole "cop killer" stigma. Nonetheless, I could not help but think that his case was sort of ridiculous. Here we have a case with some interesting facts surrounding the actual shooting. I am not going to go into any detail because it would have to be exhaustive to be worth anything. However, I can't help but think that killing Mr. Workman is a useless and ridiculous act. And a perversion of the justice system. Those who know me already know my thoughts on the justice system and the government in general. I don't think they work even 50% of the time. And this is just another case that proves that, in my opinion.

Ok, back.......

I watched part one of a two part series on Mormons yesterday. To be honest, I never knew too much about their faith, which wasn't on purpose. I tend to pride myself on my knowledge of religion and history, but for whatever reason the Mormon religion/faith/history never fell into my head. However, yesterday when I watched the special, appropriately called The Mormons, on (one of my favorite sites) PBS' Frontline, I saw an incredibly rich American history that most likely never gets taught outside of the Mormon circle. Theirs is a story of evangelism, pure faith, American ingenuity and more often than not, misery and death. After Joseph Smith amassed a worthy amount of people that followed him (which is starting later than I should in the history of the Mormons) the pre 1900 American people, faced with something they didn't know, punished the Mormon's with death. It was almost a recreation of what originally happened tot he Jews over 3500 years ago. There were Mormon exodus', diaspora and mass killings. The Latter Day Saints (Joseph Smith named his followers the "Latter Day Saints") were hated and feared. Even when they were accepted, they eventually were cast out again, a cycle that seems to be stirring up again.

Never were the Mormons actually accepted in our society, but eventually they were tolerated. Persecution of Mormons has never ceased and now a Presidential candidate is being shouted down because of his faith.

Al Sharpton is a Bigoted Asshole

I have been saying for the longest time that Al Sharpton does more to hurt the Black Community than he has EVER done to help it. He makes the Black Community look foolish and weak. He is a true showman for personal gains and is one of my least favorite political/social figures of the last 250 years (I rank Hitler lower on my hate list because he was at least smart and honest). Sharpton calmly and comically remarked, "As for the one Mormon running for office, those that really believe in God will defeat him anyway, so don't worry about that." Who does this prick think he is? He must think and really believe that he has truly pulled the wool over the eyes of Americans with his frequent lashing out at anyone who speaks their mind. The fact is, with these remarks, Sharpton is just as guilty as Imus was. Yet he won't get fired for what he said because as this society thinks, "He was just making fun of another crazy Christian." I honestly despise everything that Sharpton stands for and every tactic he uses on anyone who is willing to exercise their right to free speech. He is a terrible person and an even WORSE CHRISTIAN. I feel truly bad for whatever church has taken him in as a Reverend, cause in my eyes he is one of the farthest models of a man from it. He is a smear on the face of every aspoect of what being a Christian means. I hope something really terrible happens from this and he is finally put in his place.

This should be a wake-up call for anyone who ever had any stock in Sharpton. Those who thought he stood for what was right and generally fair. He is no better than the Sanhedrin who spit in the face of Christ as he humbly stood before them. What an asshole.

I do not agree with what they believe in, but their's is a story of why America is so controversial. Even though we have freedom of Religion, freedom of thought is sometimes not always recognized.

New in the news!!!

As I sit here at work, watching over a piece of machinery flying in space with a few people in it, I realize that I have totally slacked off in my posting. Therefore, I have decided to create a post called "This Week in the News". If you aren't sure what it will be about, then I suggest you get a big medieval catapult, wheel it on over to a really high wall and catapult yourself into it, cause you're useless (That's actually how my one friend wants to die...he says it would be hilarious. And, to be honest, it would).

Anyways, I will try to get my news post to you readers by Friday, with (maybe) daily commentary on news items. I'll tell you right now, my main sources will be CNN.com and WND.com. I think they are both worthy. I will also, from time to time (weekly), include an "interesting thing of the 'insert unit of time' " in the spirit of Interesting Thing of the Day!

Ok, enough explanation. I'll start this one off with news from today.

This won't take very long, I promise...

In the despicable world of lawsuits that we unfortunately live in, something as harmless as a pagan symbol, a "Christmas" tree can spout such controversy as to almost force a lawsuit. A Rabbi, back during CHRISTMAS was offended that there were Christmas trees in the airport and not menorahs. Boo fucking hoo, in my opinion. But this guy decided that he was going to press the issue and "demand" that the trees be taken down or he would sue. How fucking often does this happen now a days. Some "hurt victim" threatens to sue over something as simple as a Christmas tree or a fucking Nativity scene. The damn ACLU even gets involved. Our society, through thoughtful media subversion, has been "de-balled" and is no longer willing to stand up for what they believe in. I pray for my children if things don't change.

But I digress...an airport is public property, and more importantly, federal property (airside). Here's my problem: How can a public domain be host to something specifically intended for use of ONE specific religious group. Where is the ACLU on this? How come there is no outrage at the hands of the very people that would cut down a Christmas tree in their airport. Why are these "special interest" groups not all over this story? And more importantly, why the fuck are we specifically going out of our way to cater to a religion that has done nothing but cause grief and death for 1400 years straight?

Beware the Enemy within my fellow Americans. I have warned about this in the past. Beware.

Ok, so you've read those articles. Should I even go on to why this situation in Saudi Arabia is ironic?? Ok, I will....

Saudi Arabi is a haven for Wahhabism, considered the most ultra-conservative branch of Islam. Wahhabism, or Salafism as PC bitches would have you call it, is a largely Sunni movement. From Wikipedia, "Wahhabism differs from both the Sunni and Shiite branches of Islam in its denial of the legitimacy of other forms of Islam. Whereas other madhhab (Muslim schools of thought) recognize the legitimacy of other madhhab despite points of disagreement, Wahhabism considers illegitimate these other schools. Instead, Wahhabism considers as non-believers Muslims who do not adhere to Wahhabism. Al-Wahhab, the founder of Wahhabism, went so far as to declare Jihad against fellow Muslims. Wahhabis see their role as a movement to restore Islam from what they perceive to be innovations, superstitions, deviances, heresies and idolatries." As you can see, our friendly allies are the wolf in sheep's clothing. Fifteen of the Nineteen terrorist cowards that carried out the 9/11 attacks on America were Saudis. Big surprise.

This discovery prompted the US to consider its relationship with Saudi Arabia (SA). The US decided that its best course of action would be to demand that SA school books should be changed because of the ritualistic indoctrination that occurs in the classroom as early as first grade. Our ally SA is essentially the largest breeding ground and nurturer for the school of thought that most all terrorists are students of. Osama Bin Laden, a Saudi himself, preaches this form of Islam.

What we have seen in the passing years since 9/11 is constant lying by the Saudis. We are told things are changed in their school system only to find that nothing has been corrected. We allow these handbooks for terrorists to be imported into OUR OWN DAMN COUNTRY for dispersion to almost 80% of the Mosque schools that are present in the US (source: Robert Spencer's "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam"). How can our leaders stand by while the young Moslem children in our own country are indoctrinated with the same venomous preaching that collapsed the World Trade Center towers.

None of the previous is what is ironic about this situation. However, someone with a moderate intelligence can make the connection now. You have a Moslem state which preaches a terroristic form is Islam (one that is widely prescribed to) falling victim to the very form of terrorism it promotes. I think it's damn funny. Because the Saudis have a relationship with a doggish Western nation like the United States, they are targeted. You have an organization, al Qaeda, which is built on Wahhabism, trying to destroy the very nation that indoctrinated it with its terror roots. Can it get more ironic?

You have made your own bed, Saudi Arabia. Perhaps it is time for the United States to end our agreements with the Saudis and move away from relations with the worlds leading manufacturer of Terrorists.

America's Armed Forces

I have seen some pretty outrageous things. And read even more outrageous things. So when I read this article on CNN's website, I can honestly say that I am not surprised. However, it does enrage me to the point that I want to smash my face through my monitor...

"My upbringing is such that I believe that there are certain things, certain types of conduct that are immoral," Pace told the Tribune. "I believe that military members who sleep with other military members' wives are immoral in their conduct."

Pace also told the paper, "I believe that homosexual acts between individuals are immoral, and that we should not condone immoral acts.

"So the 'don't ask, don't tell' [policy] allows an individual to serve the country ... if we know about immoral acts, regardless of committed by who, then we have a responsibility.

"I do not believe that the armed forces are well served by saying through our policies that it's OK to be immoral in any way, not just with regards to homosexual acts," the Joint Chiefs chairman said.

Good for him. He has every right to SAY and firmly BELIEVE that. That's not the part that makes me want to smash my face through my monitor though, this is:

"Gen. Pace's comments are outrageous, insensitive and disrespectful to the 65,000 lesbian and gay troops now serving in our armed forces," said C. Dixon Osburn, the group's executive director. "Our men and women in uniform make tremendous sacrifices for our country, and deserve Gen. Pace's praise, not his condemnation...It is inappropriate for the chairman to condemn those who serve our country because of his own personal bias. He should immediately apologize for his remarks."

I swear...WTF. This guy is asking a General of the Armed Services to apologize for stating his opinion? Are you serious? There is no one that should be able to question the personal opinions of our Generals. I think they have earned the right, by dedicating their lives to the service of the American people, to express their personal opinions any way they want. The Generals during World War II used to say that "the only good Jap is one that's been dead for 6 months". If anything, this asshole C. Dickson Osburn should be thanking General Pace for not allowing the Moslem Jihadis into America, because as a homo, he'd be one of the first people hung, beheaded, or buried up to his chest and stoned to death like they do in Saudi Arabia (see previous posts). To Mr. Osburn, I say go straight to hell if you want or expect this General to apologize. I ask this jag-off when is it appropriate for someone to express their opinion? When they are in a locked room by themselves and no one can hear them??? This liberal ideology is begining to spread more and more. On college campuses you have free speech zones and strict fines for expressing your opinions when you are out of those zones (see UNC Chapel Hill). If America is headed down the path to the seedy motel that this piece C. Dixon Osburn is headed, we like minded (if there are any) conservatives (or as I call myself, "Patriotic Nationalist") will need to defend our beliefs and the beliefs of our Fore Fathers by any means necessary, as they would have encouraged us to do.

I've been saying it for a while now; America is headed down a dark and immoral road, one frought with peril to our sovereignty. If we do not at least speak up whenever we see this injustice, our collective voice will be drowned out in the shouts for globalist socialism. There may come a day when you have to defend your cause as the Architects of our Sovereign Nation once did...

After a long hiatus, I think I will begin to share my thoughts with you again; whether or not you like it. So, I will dispense with the pleasantries and dive right in...

I wrote this to the Willard Preacher this morning. I like to keep in touch with him now that I am so far away...

I found this Time article to be interesting....

My Opinion:What I find to be a major downfall of our government is this: The People are very rarely represented in the hallowed walls and buildings of our governmental institution. You have seen my tattoos. Rage Against the Machine, the Rock Slinger protest sillhouette and the gear of Rage are all symbols of this distrust. Whether there are conservatives or liberals in office you can be sure of only one thing: they will not represent the majority. The Democrats were elected because the Republicans weren't getting the job done. They were not conservative. Unfortunately, this "slap on the wrist" of the Republicans by the people who had previously supported them was a major blunder. Politicians have no memory. They aren't poorly designed batteries that remember their last charge. What the voting public did was "vote out" one group of people for an even worse group. They were not aware that this "slap on the wrist" was going to cause their values to be compromised. That is the only explanation.

We know that America is a majority of God-fearing people. Mostly of which are conservatives. The democratic seat in congress is not a representation of the American people. However, the American people asked for it.

Now, we are faced with a situation that could send Pro-Life bills and legislation straight to the bottom of the list. If it is even on it. With a majority of Pro-Choice progreeeessives occupying the seats of our government, the fight in a higher court is lost. And although this may be true, we can still be sure that a voice can change an opinion and save a life. Centers like the one described in the article's begining paragraphs are the light at the end of the tunnel for the abortion train. Perhaps if every woman got to see the life inside her, one glimpse at what has been created, she would change her mind about the future of the child inside. Of course there will always be people who when faced with this miracle are unphased, uncaring and cold. There is no fight for them. But those women who possess the will of a mother, which I believe is the majority, will change their path and allow the child to be born. To see the light of day and be blessed with the Grace of God.

What do you think about abortion?

If you know me personally, or have read a little bit of my blog, you will note that I am huge on Personal Responsibility. Early feminists like Susan B. Anthony opposed abortion. It was considered demeaning. These feminists believed that only the achievement of women's equality and freedom would end the need for abortion (Boy were they wrong). They wrote that prevention was more important than punishment, and blamed circumstances, laws and the men they believed drove women to abortions. Matilda Joslyn Gage wrote in 1868, "I hesitate not to assert that most of this crime of child murder, abortion, infanticide, lies at the door of the male sex..." (how typical of a femi-nazi). These early feminists believed that abortion would no longer be needed once women had rights. Their "husbands" or misters wouldn't be able to force them into abortions. Now look at the world. The insane theology of feminism has twisted the words of their foremothers(?). Abortion is now the option of the 21st century woman. It is no longer something a man made them do, but something they decide to do. (source)

I saw the single greatest and boldest t-shirt in the history of man yesterday. No, Richard, it was not the "Jesus is a C***" shirt that the disgusting black metal fags from Cradle of Filth sell, it was much more eye catching. Plain and simple, a red shirt with big bold yellow letters.

When I first saw it I cringed, that's the natural reaction. It was genius though. A very small band of traveling black preachers called "The Soulwinners" had come to PSU. And boy did attract a crowd. Single-handedly, those shirts caused more outrage and led more people to the crowd than anything else. People were actually asking the Willard Preacher for advice! And they hate him!

While I don't agree with the statement "All homos go to hell," it does have a certain ring to it. The catholic church teaches this:

-homosexuality has taken various historical and cultural forms and its cause remains largely unexplained

I agree with it, almost in its entirety. If that is something you don't like, then toooooo bad for you.

Now, the reason that I was writing this is because of some opinion columns over at the Daily If I agree with it, I'll print it in its entirety. Apparently people have not yet been able to decipher the cryptic and mystical rune-filled document known only as "The Constitution of The United States of America". Seriously, WTF.

Greenleaf wants homeowners to arm themselves

GREANLEAF - A small Canyon County town is considering a city ordinance that would recommend every homeowner have a gun and know how to use it.

A Greenleaf city council member proposed the idea as part of a plan to handle civil emergencies.

It would create citizen response teams and neighborhood watch groups, but would also recommend citizens own a gun and ammunition.

"We aren't choosing to pick a fight. We're choosing to organize and learn how to defend our own homes," said Greenleaf Mayor Brad Holton.

Holton assumes nearly every person living in his town already owns a gun.

"That's just the nature of our community," said Holton.

So he says little would be changed by adopting this ordinance that "recommends every head of household maintain a firearm and ammunition."

"It's requesting. It's not requiring," said Holton.

Holton says this is part of a larger plan to establish an organized response to a town emergency and a way to ensure Greenleaf's way of life is protected.

"The law enforcement agencies are not able to take care of each person and each private property, so it's up to local cities and local governments to develop a plan of how you're going to do that," said Holton.

The ordinance not only recommends gun ownership. It also recommends training on how to use them.

“If I was a burglar or if I was wanting to cause harm and I had all these cities to go to, why would I pick a city that is organized and trained? I wouldn't. I'd pick a city who isn't," said Holton.

Not everyone in town is in favor of the plan. Quakers founded this city a century ago.

“Historically, we're one of the peace churches," said Friends of Greenleaf Church Pastor Alan Weinacht.

Pastor Alan Weinacht says this ordinance goes too far.

"I'm not going to support that. I think that is falling into that culture of fear, and I'm not going to support that. I'm not going to encourage it. I think that's stepping over a line. It's where we don't need to go," said Weinacht.

Weinacht isn't opposed to owning a gun. He has a few himself but says the city has no business encouraging the use of firearms under any circumstance.

"If we would invest as much time into thinking about creative non-violent responses to violence as we did violent responses, we'd probably gain some ground," said Weinacht.

He sees this proposal could too easily be seen as a call to arms or the development of a city-created militia.

"I think the burden is upon city council to prove this is not what this is about, because it sure sounds like it," said Weinacht.

"Greenleaf isn't about being a vigilante, it's probably the exact opposite. It's a peaceful, small community and quality of life is very, very important to the people that are here," said Holton.

A Japanese General, during World War II, once said that Japan would never had tried to invade because in America "there is a gun behind every blade of grass."

I am willing to even monitor and moderate an entire forum based on political discussions for people up here at PSU, or anywhere for that matter. But I have a very hard time getting the word out due to the lack of help from the Collegian and my large workload from classes and work. What the Collegian doesn't allow is everyone's opinions to be heard or at least stated where anyone can access them. I am willing to provide this, free of charge. I already have a forum set up for it, I am just waiting for the word to spread. The Collegian could do this.

634: Sophronius makes a Christmas sermon complaining of the Moslems' "savage, barbarous and bloody sword" and how difficult that sword has made life for Christians.

638: The Moslems sack Jerusalem. This marks the begining of centuries of Moslem aggression, and Christians in the Holy Land faced an escalating spiral of persecution.

Early in the 8th Century, sixty Christian pilgrims from Amorium were crucified; around the same time, the Moslem Governor of Caesara seized a group of pilgrims from Iconium and had them all executed as spies-except for the small number of them that converted to Islam. Moslems also threaten to ransack the Church of the Resurrection if they didn't pay them money. Later in the 8th century, a Moslem ruler banned the display of the cross in Jerusalem. He also increased the anti-religious tax (jizya) that Christians had to pay and forbade them from instructing their faith, even to their own children.

772: The Caliph Mansur ordered the hands of Christians and Jews to be stamped with a distinctive symbol (Hitler?). Conversions TO Christianity were dealt with harshly; In 789, Moslems beheaded a monk that had converted from Islam and plundered the Bethlehem monastery of Saint Theodosius, killing many more of its monks. Many more suffered that fate.

Early in the 9th century, persecutions grew so severe that large number of Christians fled their home lands to Constantinople and other Christian.

923: Additional churches were destroyed.

937: Moslems go on a Palm Sunday rampage in Jerusalem, plundering and destroying the Church of Calvary and the Church of the Resurrection.

In Islamic theology, if any land has ever belonged to the House of Islam, it belongs to it forever - and Moslems must wage war to regain control over it.

974: Faced with a string of losses to the Byzantines, who had recalimed some of their territories back from the Moslems, the Sunni Calip in Baghdad declared Jihad.

1004: Shi'ite Caliph Adu 'Ali al-Mansur al-Hakim turned violently against the faith of his mother and uncles (two of whom were patriarchs), ordering the destruction of churches, the burning of crosses, and the seizure of Church property. He moved against the Jews wth similar ferocity. Over the next ten years, THIRTY THOUSAND churches were destroyed, and untold numbers of Christians converted to Islam simply to save their lives.

1009: al-Hakim gave his most spectacular anti-Christian order: He commanded that the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem be destroyed, along with several other churches (including the Church of the Resurrection). The Church of the Holy Sepulcher, rebuilt by the Byzantines in the 7th century after the Persians burned an earlier version, marks the traditional site of Christ's burial; it also served as a model for the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Al-Hakim commanded that the tomb within be cut down to the bedrock. He order Christians wear heavy crosses around their necks and for jews, a heavy block of wood in the shape of a calf. His last order was to accept Islam or leave his dominions, which were conquered Christian and Jewish lands.

The Byzantines rebuilt the Church of the Holy Sepulcher after al-Hakim had vanished, which is included in the story that started the sect called Druze. Nevertheless, in 1056, the Muslims expelled 300 Christians from Jerusalem and forbad european Christians from entering the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the most holy of sites for Christians, taken over by the Moslems.

The Moslem Seljuk Turks swept down from Central Asia enforcing new Islamic rigor on the people, and in 1071 chrushed the Byzantines at Manzikert, taking the emperor Romanus IV prisoner.

1076: The Seljuk Turks conquered Syria.

1077: The Seljuk Turks conquered Jerusalem, promising not to harm the inhabitants. Once the Turks entered the city, 3000 people were murdered.

The Christian Byzantium empire, which before Islam's bloody wars of conquest, which were started by its founder, had ruled over a vast expanse including southern Italy, North Africa, the Middle East and Arabia. Now their lands were reduced to little more than Greece. It looked as if its death at the hands of the Moslems was imminent. The Church of Constantinople considered the popes schismatic and had squabbled with them for centuries, but the new emperor Alexius I Comenus, swallowed his pride and appealed for help.

And that is how the First Crusade came about: It was in response to the Byzantine Emperor's call for help.

Mohammed is the first founder of a religion to see his religion spread...and he did it with the sword and commands it to be spread by the sword by all those who embrace Islam.

I urge you all to keep your eyes on Islam, it will not be long until something like this begins to happen in the United States because we are not tapping ever single Mosque here. We will be faced with this soon enough and you will have to react, to defend, not to start the hostility, but to end it. I find it very hard to believe that no one at the Collegian found the events happening in Basra and most likely in every Mosque in the world newsworthy.

On Tuesday, speaking to professors in Germany, the Pope quoted the 14th Century Byzantine emperor Paleologus as saying, "Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." As any scholar of Islam would know immediately, this quote is absolutely true in its evaluation of Mohammed and his religion of War, Islam. The Pope was merely quoting Paleologus as an example of dated thoughts about Muslims, and to possibly create new dialogue on the issue of the most violent religion the world has seen. But, the real news shouldn't be what the Pope said, but how Moslems reacted to it. Violently. Burning effigies of the Pope. Throwing Molitov Cocktails at churches in Tulkarem, Tubas near Jenin, three churches in Nablus and one in Gaza. Not to mention the killing of a Catholic Nun and her bodyguard in Somalia, one of the most violent Moslem areas in the world.

When the reaction to a simple quotation is thus, you do not have to wonder why it was made in the first place.

When was the last time a Jew has thrown himself in a german subway station and blown it up. Or when was the last time a Christians in Somalia destroyed entire villages of men, women and children. Where is the violent protest and murders of Madonna and her sparkling cross that she hangs herself on in obvious mockery of the Catholic church and Christians worldwide.

That is the difference.

Never forget the people whose lives were lost, or the people that were forever made heroes in the eyes of every American. The men and women who sacrificed seeing their families one last time to re-enter a building they knew was doomed. They forgot their mortal bodies and decided in an instant that something needed to be done, and they did it. It is for them, and those that died that we must, as American Citizens, forever remind ourselves and those around us of the sacrifice that all Americans made that day, a day that forever changed the face of the greatest Nation ever. We must also never forget why it happened and those that did it, for there will come a time when we must speak out, as leaders and ordinary citizens, against an evil so great that it allows their followers to take the lives of 3,000 innocent men, women and children in the highest glory it has to offer. And it starts with the Collegian.....

I was standing on the steps of Willard today listening to my friend The Willard Preacher. I decided to grab a Daily Liberal. By carefully tossing the Sports page into the trash I opened up to the Opinions page, as I usually due. As I began to read, I felt my blood pressure rising and the rage began to build up. The Article in question is not even worthy of a reprint in my small lowly Blog. Click the link to read it but be warned, symptoms of rage and bleeding about the eyes may be had. I wrote into the Collegian with thus:

I am usually never surprised the trash that I read on the Opinions page of the Daily Collegian due to it's lack of logic and wealth of emotion. But the person who wrote the article about Lebanon and Iranian help just simply crossed the line into the outrageous and profane.

Let's get something straight first: The true Lebanese people are not Arabs. They are descendants of the Phoenicians who converted to Christianity. The Lebanese people are not Arabs or Muslims.

Now that we have that straight we can move on to the real ridiculous statements. The writer of the article has the audacity to recommend that Lebanon, who has fallen victim to the tyranny of Islam through Syrian and Iranian influence, agree to allow 15,000 troops from the country, Iran, who is supplying many of the members and weapons to Hezbollah, the Muslim Gang that runs rampant in Lebanon. I can not truly believe that this article was printed with any research done about Hezbollah, Lebanon or the Syrian/Muslim/Iranian invasion of Lebanon. The author of this article should at least be reprimanded if not fired for their obvious disregard for any type of journalistic due process. I truly hope you get a writer with some true knowledge of Middle Eastern politics and more importantly, History. I'd be more than willing.

I was truly surprised at that article. I just simply can not believe how fucking outrageous someone could be. Apparently, and I am entirely serious about this, some people are just absolutely stupid. Dr.Savage wrote a book called "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder," and the more I read the news and see this kind of shit in the paper, the more I honestly and truly believe that there is actually something wrong with Liberals because almost everything they say and do is entirely illogical and ridiculous. I hope they print the article. Maybe it'll piss some other people off and I can finally get a Muslim to ome on the site, or perhaps come to Willard for a nice friendly talk about their Cult of Death.

Hezbollah and the Collegian

I had some extra time tonight and I decided to browse the Opinions over at The Daily Collegian. I came across this article about Hezbollah and I had to respond. First, the article:

Students need to consider Hezbollah circumstances

As I may not agree with all of Hezbollah's actions, I ask the world of college students trying to broaden their horizons to look at the circumstances that have brought Hezbollah to life. Hezbollah wouldn't exist had Israel not invaded Lebanon in 1982.

I also ask that students read into the history of the Middle East before making any quick assumptions about one party or country. As there are not just two sides to every story, there very well could be more than 10 sides in cases concerning the Middle East. Israel's effort to weaken Hezbollah has only made the support for Hezbollah even stronger than before. Hasan Nasrallah, the secretary general of Hezbollah, is now a hero among those he wasn't a hero to just prior to the war. Hezbollah means "Party of God" in Arabic. It is an idea, not just a group of people. Even if Israel succeeds in taking them out, another Hezbollah will pop up somewhere else. Interestingly enough, Venezuelen President Hugo Chavez has taken note of the destruction of Lebanon (not Hezbollah) and the attack of the United Nations offices more than the United Nations itself. Venezuela may have made a few enemies by withdrawing their ambassadors from there, but they sure have the support of the Arab and Muslim peoples. Had the Arab and Muslim leaders actually led and listened to the concerns of their people, the world would be a completely different place.

What Hana Issa seems not to understand is the previous ruling entity in Lebanon was Syria (and still is). Hezbollah was just a name put on the Muslim thugs who were destroying the beautiful land of Lebanon. When Islam invaded the world in the middle of 600 A.D. the entire Middle East was doomed to perpetual war if there were to be those living there other than Muslims. There is peace in Islam, but only for Muslims and those who agree to be sub-human payers of the Jizya, the non-Muslim poll tax. What so many people don't understand is that Theocracy is what every Muslim should be striving for, the ascention of a High Caliphate to rule Law through Religion because Religion is Law in Islam. Hasan Nasrallah is now a major player in Lebanon because those who revere him are the same Muslims that were killing Christians that fled to the Lebanese Mountains and couldn't be defeated. To be Lebanese is unique in the Middle East because Lebanese people are NOT Arabs. They are descendants of the Phonecian peoples, who pre-date the egyptians. The Lebanese people, the Christians, are having their lives destroyed because of the Muslims who have invaded their lands through the financial aid of Syria and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

You also spoke of the U.N. Ambassadors that were killed in Lebanon. I am sure that you read the E-Mail that one of those said ambassadors wrote prior to his death that detailed the Hezbollah Terrorists plan of action: stay close to the U.N. and Israel will not bomb. Well, the human shield didn't work this time. But tactics like that should not surprise anyone who is familiar with Islam and the Hadiths, as Muhammad used the same tactics of deception at the toll of the innocents. Convert. Pay the Jizya. Die. Those are your three choices through Islam. This letter won't be printed because I am being too truthful in what I write. I can only hope that someone at the Collegian reads this and has some prior knowledge of the Middle East and Islam.

One more month of summer

Hello all,

I'm not sure why any of you would be reading still, as it is obvious that production has halted. I figured that someone should at least give a reason. I'm a lazy bastard and I am working my ass off this summer at an intership. Also, being home as I am, it is a little harder to stay in touch with focused issues that infect the college community. I have not, however, abandoned this cause or my agenda. I will return in force this upcoming semester, starting the first week of September. So, mark your calanders.

By the way, I have been doing a lot of reading on Islam. SO.......watch out.

Way to go Blog readers, we got printed!! And this time the only thing they left out was the reference to the Quran that I put in there. Apparently someone must have looked it up and realized that in fact I wasn't just talking out of my ass. But in true liberal fashion they probably took it out to make me look like some regular "neo-con" hatemonger. Whatever, I'll hopefully have some emails to respond to tomorrow regarding the piece. Middle East ignorance hurts PSU community

This letter is in response to Heather Barton's guest column, "Lack of respect for Muslims common for many students on campus," April 27.

I think some people are too quick to interpret things as biased against them because of their own bias. A Muslim may see a poster depicting a traditional Muslim in garb with the words, "I am a killer," on them and think it is an attack on all of Islam. Yet, I see a social remark on the religion(WHY IS THIS FUCKING COMMA HERE=>), to which 99 percent of all terrorists prescribe: Islam. However, I am just a simple kafir whose life should be forfeit according to Islamic Sharia.

If only more people would understand the issues at hand and the history of the Middle East, we could all have somewhat intelligent conversation on the issue.

But because 98 percent of the students here on Penn State's campus know absolutely nothing about the history of Islam and its impact through violence on the world for the last 1,400 years, we will continue to have people who support the censorship of artwork, such as that of Josh Stulman, the person to which I assume Barton is referring.

Letter to the Collegian

I read an opinion column today written by the VP of Muslim Student Association, HEATHER BARTON (I hope you understand why that is bolded). It goes thus:

Lack of respect for Muslims common for many students on campus

Respect. The first line in the Penn State Principles, those simple yet deep words that each of us had drilled into our minds at freshman orientation, states: "I will respect the dignity of all individuals within the Penn State community." It continues: "I will demonstrate respect for others by striving to learn from the differences between people, ideas and opinions, and by avoiding behaviors that inhibit the ability of other community members to feel safe or welcome as they pursue their academic goals."

Imagine then what it must have felt like for a Muslim student to wake up one day, walk to class and notice the campus being filled with flyers portraying a Muslim, on whose forehead the phrase, "I am a killer," appears?

Looking closely at the flyer, this student notices that this is an exhibit about the "faces of terror."

How unfortunate is it then that so often words promoting hate, intolerance and prejudice are cloaked under the garb of free speech. Someone will draw a swastika on a synagogue door. Another will burn a cross in front of a black man's home. And yet another will draw a vicious caricature portraying all Muslims as terrorists. The perpetrators behind all of these actions will say they are exercising their right to freedom of speech.

Yet, to most of us, the line between our own personal civil liberties and those of others is usually clear.

We understand and recognize that there is a line between one person or group of people's freedom of expression and expression that, even if unintentionally, comes at the significant expense of another.

It's a blurry subject in many situations, but when the situation is one where a large company or organization, such as a university, comes into play, the guidelines become significantly clearer. Such institutions won't use or support the use of the "n-word" or support a musician whose concert revolves around the ideas that Jews are an evil breed of people. Equally, such an institution shouldn't support an art exhibit that juxtaposes portraits of Muslims and Arabs as terrorists with paintings of Holocaust imagery.

In today's post-Sept. 11 world, it's not too hard to stir up feelings of fear and hatred, particularly against those who are associated in some way, shape or form with the Middle East. It is important, now more than ever, that we always consider others when trying to make a point.

In a scholastic setting as diverse as Penn State, we would be especially ignorant to think that we can promote understanding and education while offending and insulting each other. Instead, as people of the world, we should use our talents and privileges to do good and spread understanding rather than the opposite.

It is not an issue of whether we have the right to express ourselves or not, because those rights are already well respected and understood. It is an issue of tolerance, respect, and understanding that a better goal is worth concentrating on: peace.

I think maybe some people are too quick to interpret because of their own bias. A Mu'min may see a poster depicting a traditional Moslem in garb with the words "I am a killer" on them and think it is an attack on all of Islam. Yet, I see a social remark on the religion that 99% of all terrorists prescribe to. Islam. However, I am just a simple kafir whose life should be forfeit according to Islamic Sharia (Quran 8:12-16).

If more people would only understand the issues at hand in the middle east and the history of the middle east, we could all have somewhat intelligent conversation on the issue. But because 98% of the students here on campus know absolutely nothing about the history of Islam and its impact through violence on the world for the last 1400 years, we will continue to have people who support the censorship of such works as Stulman's, who I am guessing Heather Barton is referring to.

But one thing I forgot to say was in reference to her last paragraph: How can we possibly move forward with tolerance and respect and understanding when no one understands the history of the middle east and the spread of Islam? How can we possibly go about this great conference of tolerance when we are only taught that Islam is peaceful, and not about it's extremely violent 1400 year history? When an issue is only taught from one side, tolerance can not be had because it is a false understanding of the issue at hand.

Black Caucus, toned down...

On Saturday April 6, 1997, my father woke me and my brother up and told us to get dressed; we we're going downtown. He gave us shirts to wear with four different colored arms all grabbing at the wrist in a square, the words "Love has no color," underneath them. We were going to a KKK rally at the City-County Building steps. My dad is infinitely wise about these sort of things. He wanted us to know that there are people out there who just hate us, and other people, for no real reason. So, we got in the green Sentra and headed dahntahn to the County Building. It was hot as hell. When we got there we were told that if we were protesting we would have to go and stand in a chainlink fenced-off parking lot adjacent to the County Building. My dad made sure we were right up against the fence so that we could see and hear everything that was going on. By the time the rally started there was about 300 people packed into that little chainlink cubicle. From what I could hear the clan saying I found out that they had versatile uses for the words, "nigger, kike, jew, wetback, Catholic and wop". I found out that day that no matter what someones skin color is, or their cultural background, there will always be people out there to hate them unconditionally, no matter what. No matter how much they were taught or how many books they read; they would always hate. And, when it comes down to it, they had every right to do it. They also have every option that a group that preaches love has. Police escort, security, etc.

When I learned what the Black Caucus had said about the College Republicans, of which I am NOT a member, I was more infuriated than I was at that KKK rally. How could these supposed college educated people confuse the hatred of the KKK and the Nazi party with a rally for Immigration Awareness, something that is highly deficient in our MTV laced youth? How could they equate the desire to secure our infiltrated borders from the illegal mass of people flooding in from Mexico (whether the people are Mexican or South American is not the issue) who are effectivly straining our public and legal systems and flaunting a hole in our National Security? Were they actually that stupid? Did they actually believe what they were saying? Are they assholes? I figured that only 1 of those resulted in a yes. I believe, as I have said before, that race can be used in a multitide of terrible ways:

As a reason to kill someone
As a reason to commit genocide
As a reason to hire someone
As a reason not to hire someone
As a reason not to let someone patronize a certain establishment
As leverage for a specific agenda

Yes, folks, I believe the Black Caucus has evolved into a bunch of whiny black kids who will stop at nothing to get their way, as they did with Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The Black Caucus simply shouted "racist" because of their angst and wrath for the College Republicans and their fellow white students. The College Republicans didn't do one damn thing that was even remotely racist. It may have been discriminatory but only to people who are breaking our fucking laws and committing crimes in our fucking borders. Grow the fuck up Black Caucus, everybody doesn't hate you, at least not yet. There is a big difference between racism and discrimination.

I am no stranger to racist events in recent history. I attended the lecture here at Penn State on Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000 of Leonard Weinglass, then Attorney of Mumia Abu-Jamal, which was sponsored by Students and Youth Against Racism, a club which my brother was a member of before they lost their wits. I lived through the carnage of the Johhny Gamage case in October of 1995 in Brentwood, literally 3 minutes away from my house. I also had to live with, something I never really told anyone, going to grade school and opening my notebooks only to have "sand nigger" sprawled on them, with pictures of camels emblazoning the pages only because some of the kids knew I was proud of being Lebanese. I am no stranger to real racism and I am sure many members of the Black Caucus are in the same boat, just much worse because they're black. I am not trying to play down real racism. We all know it exists. I just disagree that here at Penn State there is some fucking mysterious conspiracy against all the black students. It is total bullshit.

Our brokeback limp President Graham Spanier gave into the Black Caucus last year, unfortunately, and now they think they can get away with this shit again. When you label everyone who is white a racist you start to adopt the same principles of the people you love to hate, the real racists. You, Black Caucus members, are turning into racists (big surprise), if you weren't already there.

Another problem I see is all this "We aren't different" bullshit that every "anti-racism" activist tries to spew forth. We ARE different. VERY different. I am nothing like the average black kid that walks down the street at PSU. That doesn't make me hate him though. The black comunity and the white community are two entirely different groups of people. But that doesn't mean there is something wrong with that.

I could go on and on for days about this and I would end up being called a racist for some of my more extreme views (on how to raise your fucking kids) because some people are just near-sighted. I will say something though; the one largest epidemic that is spreading through the black community is not AIDS or black on black violence (94% of black victims were killed by blacks) or drug related homicides (65% of black offenders and 64% black victims) but is the whole mentality and society of Rap, the most degrading music to ever be played. I truly believe a lot of the crime in the black community can be attributed to the early lifestyle of black youths leaning towards rap and its terrible values towards women, authority and honest money. I will say this though, the Black Caucus is doing one thing right, contrary to what rap proselytizes; they are going to college. (Understand this, also; I do distinguish between hip-hop and rap, something a lot of people don't do. I frequently listen to Saul Williams, someone, I think, everybody should listen to. He is one of the greatest hip-hop artists there is.)

Where is the fucking S.O.D. when you need them.

I post this picture in disgust. In disgust for our Government. A government that puts FOREIGN LANGUAGES ON FUCKING VOTER BALLOTS. If you want to live here, learn the language. This problem with Illegal Immigration starts with the Government and their lackadaisical approach to immigration. The local police need jurisdiction and the right to use force. We need secure, armed borders. You will find immigration no where else in the world like it is in the United States. And that's a fucking shame.

A DIFFERENT CHRISTMAS POEM

The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,
I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.

My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,
My daughter beside me, angelic in rest.

Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white,
Transforming the yard to a winter delight.

The sparkling lights in the tree I believe,
Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve.

My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep,
Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep.

In perfect contentment, or so it would seem,
So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream.

The sound wasn't loud, and it wasn't too near,
But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear.

Perhaps just a cough, I didn't quite know,
Then the sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow..

My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear,
And I crept to the door just to see who was near.

Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night,
A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight.

A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old,
Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold.

Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled,
Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child.

Hey man nice blog!! Here are some more tid bits about Islam before you go onto the Black Caucus.

1: ‘There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his Prophet’

Our interviewees affirm their belief that Islamic violence is entirely orthodox behavior for Muslims and stems directly from the teachings and example of the Prophet Muhammad and the commands of the Koran. We learn that the example of Muhammad is one of a violent warlord who killed numerous people. The Koran – the verbatim words of Allah – prescribes violence against non-Muslims and Muhammad is the perfect example of the Koran in action.

2: The Struggle

We learn that jihad, while literally meaning 'struggle', in fact denotes war fought against non-Muslims in order to bring the rule of Islamic law to the world. Violent death in jihad is, according to the Koran, the only assurance of salvation. One of our interviewees tells of his personal involvement in terrorism and of his conversion to Christianity.

3: Expansion

Following the death of Muhammad, his 'rightly-guided' successors carried his wars to three continents, fighting, enslaving, and massacring countless Christians, Jews, and Zoroastrians. Islam did not spread through evangelism or through its natural appeal, but through aggressive wars of conquest. The Crusades were largely a belated response on the part of Christian Europe to rescue Christians in the Holy Land suffering under Muslim oppression. The Muslim world today, while no longer the unified empire of the Caliphs, is exceptional for being responsible for the vast majority of conflicts around the world and for almost all of international terrorism.

4: ‘War is Deceit’

A great problem with Western efforts to understand Islam is due to the Islamic principle of 'religious deception', which enjoins Muslims to deceive non-Muslims in order to advance the cause of Islam. Muslim groups today in the West employ deception and omission to give the impression that 'Islam is a religion of peace', an utter fiction.

5: More than a Religion

The most important characteristic of Islam not understood by the West is that it is more a system of government than a personal religion. Unlike Christianity, Islam has never recognized a distinction between the religious and the secular/political. Islamic law governs every aspect of religious, political, and personal action, which amounts to a form of totalitarianism that is divinely enjoined to dominate the world, analogous in many ways to Communism.

6: The House of War

Islamic theology divides the world into two spheres locked in perpetual combat, dar al-Islam (House of Islam - where Islamic law predominates), and dar al-harb (House of War - the rest of the world). It is incumbent on dar al-Islam to fight and conquer dar al-harb and permanently assimilate it. Muslims in Western nations are called to subvert the secular regimes in which they now live in accordance with Allah's command. Due to political correctness and general government and media irresponsibility, the danger posed by observant Muslims in the West remains largely unappreciated.

Pop-Ups

It has come to my attention that users who don't use Firefox, for whatever retarded reason that may be, are seeing a pop-up from Fastclick Media. I fucking hate pop-ups and this problem really pissed me off because I had no idea where it was coming from. However, I was checking around on my NoScript Extension, something that EVERYONE should install if they have Firefox, and I saw that the script was trying to run when I went to this site. I never realized this before and I apologize for this. I have isolated the problem, which happened to be the TagBoard, and I removed it so that you guys/gals will now see a pop-up free DrAwkwArD Blog. Again, much apologies!

Also, I am looking for writers for the blog. I am tied up a lot with school work and I think if I could add articles from other like-minded writers so that we could update more than once or twice a week it would be much better. If you have any interest let me know and send me an article you wrote or something and we'll see about getting it posted.

I would like to show you, wait for it, MORE on this subject of Islam. Kathy Heel, in her letter to me, wrote of Iran as a democratic country. I would like to show you a few things. This is the first:
I realize that the picture is propaganda, but the penal code that is contained within it is NOT. Iran's penal code encompasses all Islamic law. This is no democracy, it is an Islamic Theocracy bent on destroying all who don't believe.

Women sentenced to death by stoning are buried in the ground up to their necks. Iranian law regulates the size of the stones used by the executioner crowd; stones cannot be big enough to kill the sentenced woman too quickly, as the purpose of this barbaric ritual is to inflict as much pain as possible before death. On the other hand, stones cannot be too small, as each blow must be dramatically painful.
While stoning captures the imagination of Westerners as the most barbaric act committed under Shariah laws, other forms of sentencing perpetrated by the Islamic Republic are just as horrific. For example,

Iran

employs several types of body mutilation, from the amputation of hands, arms and legs to the macabre procedure of plucking out the eyeballs of the sentenced without the use of anesthetics. Several photos exist to document such occurrences, in dossiers kept by human rights organizations.

My letter to the Editor was published in the Collegian today. By 11:30am I had already recieved one hate email from a lady and one e-mail from a member of our Armed Services. I just checked my email again and there is another hate email.

I will start by saying this; The Daily Collegian did not print my whole article. They left out some of the more infuriating details that I had really hoped they wouldn't. My article printed in the collegian is located here. My original was this:

I have never in my time here at State College read a more infuriating article printed in the Collegian. Ben Praster seems to have everything figured out but in reality he understands nothing about the culture or religion of the Middle East. The Middle East is not interested in "talking" or "sharing" with the West. As more and more countries fall victim to Muslim tyranny, more and more options for peace are wiped away. To even suggest that sending our students to the Middle East to study abroad is absurd. The Islamic theocracies of Afghanistan, Iran etc. are not interested in expanding their "culture" unless it involves killing Americans or anyone else who isn't interested in becoming a Muslim. Praster's idea of dropping "piles of cash" for "indepentdent radio stations or newspapers" or "international schools" lacks any rational thought. He is suggesting that we spend money to fund independent radio stations in vicious theocracies that would surely use them to push the ever famous Muslim agenda of "kill all infidels". Mohammad said it best, "I was ordered to fight the people until they believe in Allah and His Messenger." The Muslim nations must ask themselves what can they do for humankind, before they demand that humankind respect them. This sort of diplomacy that Ben Praster is suggesting is the same hippie thought that would have had us stand back and fund radio stations and semester abroads for Nazi Germany whilst Hitler raped the land and killed off the entire Jewish population. Surprisingly enough, Praster says we should save the money we are going to inevitably spend fighting a war in Iran to fund these diplomatic projects. That's funny to me, especially since the President of Iran is intent on killing all the Jews in Jerusalem. Kathy wrote about Mossadegh, but it goes a little deeper than her small anti-American propaganda speech. The Coup of Mohammed Mossadegh in 1953 had everything to do with something called the Abadan Crisis, which lasted from 1951 to 1954. Basically, Mossadegh initiated a group called the National Front of Iran to expell all foreign intrests who owned and operated oil refineries and wells in Iran, which at the time was basically one company which ruled them all, Anglo-Iranian Oil Company(AIOC). The previous Prime minister General Haji-Ali Razmara, who was elected in June 1950, right before Mossadegh, had opposed the Oil Nationalisation Act on grounds of technicality (being that the company was owned by the British, the Iranians couldn't just out them). He was assassinated on March 7 1951 by a member of the Fadayan-e Islam after a group of Muslim clerics issued a fatwa calling for his death. On April 28 1951, Mossadegh was elected BY THE IRANIAN PARLIMENT with a vote of 79-12. Mossadegh, shortly after being voted in, passed the Oil Nationalization Act, which involved the expropriation of the AIOC's assets (an illegal act in world business). The Abadan Crisis ensued and Mossadegh was ousted. I think you see my point here folks, or at least I hope you do. We are NOT working with a government in Iran, we are working with a network of terrorist Muslim Clerics who decide EVERYTHING about their country's future, a Muslim Theocracy. I suppose, Kathy, that maybe you should read into these links that you send to me before you spit your Liberal rhetoric at me.

What I find intriguing about what the Soldier mentioned and quoted in this article is that he gives us no insight as to WHY those men were being questioned. It is articles like that, Kathy, that spread more and more anti-American propaganda. Black claims that we are not seeing the "real" war. The media is covering ONLY THE BAD things that happen in Iraq. I have talked to countless Soldiers who have returned who have nothing but good things to say about what we are doing. Young Iraqi children hugging them, women thanking them. But you will never hear about that on the news. It is always the negative that you will hear. Our Soldiers aren't brainwashed, Kathy, they are the ones over there every fucking day getting killed and protecting your right to despise them and spread more of your garbage about them. THEY protect YOU, remember that. And another thing; we don't need to kill Iraqis, they're not the ones killing us. But they are the ones killing themselves. They are killing their own people indiscriminantly. The attack today in Baghdad was not intended for any American Occupiers, they were targeting and killing their own people. Again, Kathy, propaganda. This British soldier talks about how Americans were "rounding" up "innocent" Iraqis to question them, old men and farmers too. You, and many people like you, don't seem to understand the type of enemy we are fighting. They are faceless. They are the 10 year old walking down the street or the old man sitting at the bus station. I REFUSE to be your teacher on the Insurgence but I IMPLORE you to watch this program on PBS:Frontline. It is called The Insurgency. Maybe that will be the spittle and dirt that rubs your eyes and gives you sight.

You again don't amaze me. What does the fact that there are more Arabs in Jerusalem than Jews have ANYTHING TO DO WITH WHAT I SAID??? Do you even know? You talk about the Jewish children who want to expel the Arabs from Jerusalem without a brain in your head, Kathy. You don't seem to understand that these CHILDREN have grown up and witnessed absolutely NOTHING but Muslim acts of terrorism in their own backyards. Your friends that attend the American University in CAIRO aren't exactly at the center of Islamic Jihad, Jared. You seem to have misunderstood everything that I have said. The Islamic Theocracies of the Middle East want nothing but Islam in their countries, anything else is punishable by death, as was the fucking case with Abdul Rahman, who was to be put to death because he converted from Islam to Christianity in a "democratic" country. His next paragraph is illegible, so I am not even going to try and write anything about it. He then turns to calling me an idiot because he thinks I don't know where Afghanistan is. My name is Dan Dougherty and I am a former PSU student now serving in the military over in the Middle East. During downtimes I tend to read the collegian online and usually get a laugh when I open up the opinions page. For some reason many of the students think just because they are in college, they have a creative writing style, and a first amendment right that what they are really saying is intelligent. It baffles me that people sometimes have such strong convictions about issues they don’t have a darn clue about. Sure, they probably read up on cnn.com and maybe some message boards but the fact is that they really think they are making valid points. What they need to understand is that its an “opinion” page and to stop acting like its some political revolution they are starting by writing about some topic.

Why I was writing….

I RARELY see intelligent comments on that page and just wanted to tell you I thoroughly enjoyed what you had to say. While I was at PSU people had this vision that there is going to be peace on earth, and that every single nation will respect one another. That we will do anything we can by learning about other cultures in an after school club or semester overseas and magically become the Dali Lama. That’s why I had to get out of the college environment. I wanted to experience the world with my own eyes. I get to sit down with Muslims of all the middle Eastern countries on my days off and just shoot the shit about life and other general stuff.

People are people. Doesn’t matter where you go. Some of these people don’t see their families for 3-5 years and make $200 a month just to put food on their tables. AND they’re happy! Some others have children in US colleges for them to learn business and take over their jewelry businesses over here. I might be rambling but I was just trying to say that human being are all the same but where they are from makes a huge difference. These American kids don’t understand that countries over where I am have been with their ways of life for hundreds of thousands of years and they really don’t give a shit to have Americans infiltrate their country and try to be peace makers and save the world. The best bet is just respect other countries ways of life if they don’t appreciate outsiders. If you want to learn so much about these countries pick up a book. Theres plenty other places in the world to visit. Of course you don’t have to respect radicalism from certain groups but just the strict lifestyles that protect their history. Their history that feels like it could be damaged by others bringing their cultures and beliefs inside their borders. Let sleeping dogs lye.

I really rambled and was jumping the gun on what I just wrote so take it all with a grain of salt. I was just responding merely on emotion from being upset about certain people.

Peaceful Middle East relations cheaper than war

When the story about Abdul Rahman, a man who faced death for rejecting Islam and converting to Christianity, broke for the first time, I skimmed right by it.

Religious intolerance and inhumane treatment in the Middle East is not really a new or fascinating topic. Obviously this story has received a lot coverage because it happened in Afghanistan, where the U.S. supposedly ended a horrendous theocratic government and replaced it with something better.

President Bush has found building new utopian democracies a little tougher then he thought. I know, a Bush being surprised by a policy failure in the Middle East is nothing new or fascinating either. The Bush administration will never be good at nation-building because it put the cart in front of the horse. The administration's mantra since it gave up on the first two rationales for Iraq was that we'd bring democracy to the Middle East and it will be some kind of shining beacon.

The outcome was inevitable. Democratic elections in Palestine gave us Hamas, Iraq's varying sects vie for votes in power in a de facto civil war and Afghanistan uses Sharia law. Changing the government's structure is no way to change the hearts and minds of people living in the Middle East. All this does is shuffle around the upper classes.

If we want to see peace in the Middle East, or an even loftier goal of a universal suffrage and religious tolerance, we're going to have to reach past the governments and communicate with everyone in the Middle East. So far we've only tried to do this with bombs and bullets, which rarely make any friends. What we need to do is take a lesson from our ancient ancestors.

During the Middle Ages, Europe was at war basically all the time. When they wanted to make peace they would sign a treaty and then seal the pact with a marriage, the idea being warring entities would be tied by blood.

Now I'm not proposing that we ship every woman in America off to Saudi Arabia. Granted there are times, usually in shoe stores, when I'm quite tempted to do so. I'm proposing that we start engaging in a real cultural exchange with the Middle East. We should be encouraging Americans to go there and people from the Middle East to come here. We should offer tuition credits to Middle Eastern students who want to study here. We should also be using funding to encourage kids to spend the semesters abroad in the Middle East.

We should take some of the money we have earmarked for our next war in Iran, and start using it to fund initiatives to improve cultural norms in the Middle East. Want to build an international school? Here's a pile of cash. Want to open an independent radio station or newspaper? Here's a pile of cash. With funding tied to upholding modern standards of freedom of religion and freedom of speech, we could give moderate and progressive voices the funding and shelter that their current regimes could never provide.

These plans won't be cheap. They'll cost us both in increased foreign aid and possibly through retaliatory oil price increases.

But in the end it will be cheaper than waging war after war across the Middle East, because those will never end. Every war we wage fuels imperialist fears and creates terrorists from the "collateral damage." Our other option is to withdraw from the Middle East, leaving another section of the world in the hands of tyrants and despots.

Our best option is to start taking the war for the hearts and minds of the Arab world seriously. We used to talk about it, but that talked died out when we discovered that it directly conflicted with maintaining a military presence in Iraq and Afghanistan. We have to start taking the cultural aspect of this war seriously now or we really are going to be in for the Pentagon's newest buzzword. A "long war" indeed.

Ben Praster

I have responded by writing this "Letter to the Editor" that I just sent in. Here it is:

I have never in my time here at State College read a more infuriating article printed in the Collegian. Ben Praster seems to have everything figured out but in reality he understands nothing about the culture or religion of the Middle East. The Middle East is not interested in "talking" or "sharing" with the West. As more and more countries fall victim to Muslim tyranny, more and more options for peace are wiped away. To even suggest that sending our students to the Middle East to study abroad is absurd. The Islamic theocracies of Afghanistan, Iran etc. are not interested in expanding their "culture" unless it involves killing Americans or anyone else who isn't interested in becoming a Muslim. Praster's idea of dropping "piles of cash" for "indepentdent radio stations or newspapers" or "international schools" lacks any rational thought. He is suggesting that we spend money to fund independent radio stations in vicious theocracies that would surely use them to push the ever famous Muslim agenda of "kill all infidels". Mohammad said it best, "I was ordered to fight the people until they believe in Allah and His Messenger." The Muslim nations must ask themselves what can they do for humankind, before they demand that humankind respect them. This sort of diplomacy that Ben Praster is suggesting is the same hippie thought that would have had us stand back and fund radio stations and semester abroads for Nazi Germany whilst Hitler raped the land and killed off the entire Jewish population. Surprisingly enough, Praster says we should save the money we are going to inevitably spend fighting a war in Iran to fund these diplomatic projects. That's funny to me, especially since the President of Iran is intent on killing all the Jews in Jerusalem. But, sure, let's just send him some money for a radio station so he has something to occupy his time, instead of genocide through nuclear armament. http://DoctorAwkward.blogspot.com

BUSY!! Stupid ass EE classes and Stat and just all around bullshit has kept me away from my loyal readers (insert laughs). From the comments I've been getting, you'd think no one on Earth has any opinions on these topics I present. However, that's ok, because I happen to. Although, I encourage you to the fullest to please comment on the topics so that maybe we can get something going in the form of discussion. I don't give a shit if you agree with me or not, just write your opinions.

Now, the topic at hand is going to be randomness for as long as I feel like typing. I am going to browse the Collegian for anything I see worthy. Ok, goldmine. Here's the link to Nasir Ismail's letter entitled Westerners target Muslims to perpetuate religious hate. I'll copy and paste relevant parts from his article. OK, to begin with:
"he argued that Muslims in the Middle East are intolerant of anything from the West. Tell me then, if the West is tolerant of anything Islam."
I find this statement ironic, to say the least. As you will see, Mr.Mohammad Ismail perpetuates the idea that Western society hates Islam. To begin with, Islam is the most intolerant mainstream religion in the world today. Kill all infidels, they say, or as I've posted before, "Behead those who insult Islam". Come on now Mr.Mohammad Ismail, you're not talking to a bunch of 9th graders at the Al-Mashoor Boys' Academy (his high school back in Malaysia). Islam, for the past 1500 years has been the main and controlling antagonist among the Middle East countries. But, but, the crusades!!! Right? No, the crusades were perpetuated my Muslim raids on villages along the "Holy" coast (Jerusalem et al). Islam has been the main perpetrator of all destructive, malicious and theocratic terrorism for most all of recent history. Why then, would you be so surprised that people are finally starting to be a little pissed at Islam, a religion that embraces these acts?
We'll move on to his next paragraph:
"A Muslim was chased out of the Turkish Parliament because she wore a hijab. And the same rules apply in France. And these governments have the rights to do so because they are secular nations. That is of course not called Western intolerance toward Islam, it's called secularism. Muslims must learn to assimilate or they must leave.
In Denmark, a politician called Muslims the cancer in the society. In Greece, the Greek Orthodox Church has vehemently rejected building any mosque in Athens. In France, Muslims are five times more likely to be denied jobs. I can go on and on."
I'm not sure what the hell he is talking about here. No sources were given so I can not establish any kind of truth to his claim about Turkey but I do know this much. Turkey is 99.8% Muslim (from CIA). So, for this incident to have ANYTHING to do with "western intolerance" is highly, 98.9% highly, unlikely. France, recently, has a pretty good reason to be a little upset with it's Muslim immigrants. I realize, though, that the French may be some of the most intolerant people, discriminating against anyone who is not "French", but does that mean Islam can riot and burn cars? Does that mean that Islam can, categorically, resort to violence, terrorism and destruction to sway views? Islam, in this light, sounds a bit like some Norse Viking tribe from ancient Sweden or Norway. The remark about Islam being a cancer of society, however rash, is not so incredibly far from the truth when you travel to certain countries that are being destroyed my Islamic terrorism. However, the statement is reprehensible and I personally wouldn't have made it. But you still have to wonder, how can a religion of tolerance put someone on trial for converting to Christanity? This guy, Abdul Rahman, was thrown into a maximum security prison in the Islamic controlled Afghanistan because he was CAUGHT WITH A FUCKING BIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What kind of fucking religion of TOLERANCE is ISLAM???? The President of Aghanistan was wary af dropping the charges, which would have ended in his EXECUTION, because of the extreme pressure and control that the Muslim Clerics have in the government and the people. The authorities in Afghanistan were trying to make Abdul Rahman's incarceration and subsequent death penalty seem like a favor to the man by saying that if they released him, his fellow Muslim countrymen would surely kill him. Religion of Tolerance??? I think the fuck not. The Greek Orthodox Church has no hold on the authorities that would prohibit the building a mosque. But, when it comes down to it, we have recently realized that a lot of terror orginizations and terror cells are operating out of mosques. Maybe it's a precautionary thing, ya know, like putting out ant traps before summer. Some muslim clerics who ran mosques in the U.K. were on the news, right after the bombings, talking about how the blood of the infidels will run in the streets of Europe. This, coming from a Muslim holy man. Where does western society have to look for the voice of reason in Islam if their own holy men are talking about killing infidels? And again, Muslims are not the only people that are subject to the extreme French discrimination, as is described of Jews in France in this article from the New York Times. The Jewish population haven't rioted, and they've been there for much longer. Why then, is it always Islam that resorts to violence? Isn't it weird?
He finishes with this statement:
"The West hates, Muslims do not."
Again, do I even need to address this? As far as I know, Islam is the only religion that teaches its kids, from earliest childhood, to hate all those who are not Muslims. Islam has dug itself, forcefully, into a hole of theocratic hate and the rejection of all those who deny Islam as the one way.

I've covered this smoking ban thing before but I'm going to do it again because I have no new material yet. Tom Mueller's article on smoking bans covers most of the typical points of those who would have a socialist government instead of a democracy. He opens with:
"Banning public smoking does nothing except ensure that everyone is granted his or her "right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness," which the editorial argues it impedes."
I'll start with the simple fact that I am a non-smoker of over 2 years now and I absolutely abhor cigarette smoke. I've even gone to lengths of getting some of my friends, one of which who smoked A LOT, to quit smoking. Now that I've sufficiently patted my own back, I'll get on to his statement. Banning public smoking does nothing but detract from the rights of smokers. Plain and simple. That's an easy one. (I can only hope you know who that picture is of)
He goes on to say:
"I do not smoke, and I can't stand second-hand smoke. If public smoking is not outlawed, am I not forced to suck in the dangerous vapors? The Board of Opinion's assumption that I could just walk away or ask the smoker to move is laughable. Has anyone tried to ask a smoker to move? Most of the time you will be greeted by a smug glance or you will be otherwise ignored. Furthermore, if I am forced to move, I have been robbed of my liberty to stand where I wish."
I understand his general disgust with smoking. It is sick. It makes you sick, and it kills you. But you CAN always move. You have the liberty to stand anywhere you want, true. So does a smoker. His rights can not be taken away just so that you can be appeased. When I wait for the bus in the morning to go to EE492, I usually stand by the street where the Blue Loop picks you up on College and Allen. Has anyone stood there for more than 5 minutes and not been bombarded with the disgusting smell and toxic gas that the busses spew forth? What do you do when that happens? You move. To Tom, that would be a gross infraction on his basic rights. So, should we ban cars and busses? I realize the analogy is a bit far fetched but it is, in its simplest form, the exact same thing Tom is saying. And it also happens to be just as asinine.
He finishes with an ironic statement:
"Regarding more pressing issues, including those that don't kill millions, I agree that, "it's time the government butts out.""
I suspect that if you are even remotely educated, you will see the irony in his statement. Does he really agree with the statement "the government should but out"? I mean, cause let's get serious here. He's asking that the government enforce something, become bigger and not but out. I don't know, maybe I just don't get it. I did, though, do a little research on this topic and came across something interesting and scary at the same time. Calabasas, California has initiated a public smoking ban. Here is just one thing the ban does, "Smoking in one's car is allowed, unless the windows are open and someone nearby might be affected.". Are you fucking kidding me? Seriously....WTF!

I was recently browsing the PBS:Frontline site and came across an episode entitled "A Class Divided". It is about a third grade teacher (Jane Elliot) and her students from a small all-white Iowa town that did a study on racism and it's effects on a "micro-society". Here is a small section of the transcripts from the film:

Jane Elliott: Do you think you do? No, I don't think you'd know how that felt unless you had been through it, would you? It might be interesting to judge people today by the color of their eyes...would you like to try this?

Children: Yeah!

What this woman did is prolific. You should really watch this film. It's absolutely amazing how these children react to this idea and the lesson they learn in the end. This should be done in ever third grade class in America and across the world.

Real quick. Next person I see using a Nextel in public, I'm Link style Triforcing them. How fucking rude can you possibly be. Just walking into class, or a restaurant with the fucking external speaker blaring garbage that NO ONE wants to hear. Not a single fucking person. How ignorant you must be. And if someone can please explain this to me (please, hold off on all the racist replies, pretend I'm Chris Rock) , why do I usually see only black people with Nextels? Is there some kind of conspiracy? Do they know something I don't? Do they get some kind of fucking discount or something? Cause, if there's a discount involved, I want in on that, just so I can get a phone for free and shove it right up the ass of the person who created Nextel. Fuck him.

And another thing, what is the infatuation with the cell phone ringers and fucking gadgets all over the place? I think hearing a super fucking loud 50 Cent song on someones 1/2" cellphone speaker may be just as annoying as Nextel. Well, not as annoying, but it's close. And in class none the less. Why can't you just remember to turn the fucking ringer off?? No one cares what your ringer is. It doesn't make you cool, you douche bag. Why must you have the ringer on in the first fucking place?? If the damn thing is in your pocket, you'll feel it vibrating, why must you have the ringer on too? You are NOT your cellphone. Get over yourself, hang the damn thing up and stop being so damn annoying. Man, listening to The Black Dahlia Murder really brings it out. Seriously....WTF

My recent letter to the editor got printed in the Daily Collegian. You can find it here. I'll browse the opinions a little more during class tomorrow and see if I can work up any emotions, which is hard to do when you are sitting in a control systems or power systems class. Seriously....WTF

Sorry to those three to four of you who actually enjoy reading the blog. Unfortuantely, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, the Collegian has gone on break with the rest of the school. I have no material. Or I should say, I'm a lazy bastard and don't feel like writing over break. Nonetheless, I promise, if something catches my eye I'll post, if not, I'll definitely be back on Monday. Peace. Unless it's Iran.

Oh, and let me say this real quick. If the President allows the Dubai Port thing to go through, I will officially not be a fan of his. I have said recently that if President Bush does nothing other than get two Conservatives on the bench in four years, I will be satisfied. However, this Dubai thing, under very close examination that I have yet to do, will trump Roberts and Alito. Do the right thing Mr. President. Seriously....WTF

And here's something to think about. Some pulsars, most being around 12-15 kms wide, can spin at a frequency of 10 to around 200Hzs. While the fastest known pulsar spins on its axis 642 times a second. Think about that. A 15km wide object spinning that fast has an angular velocity of around 30251.04 km/s. Why does this matter? Because pulsars are the best clocks in the universe. Imagine something that "pulses" every revolution it takes. Imagine that revolution is steady. Imagine you know that period and can detect that pulse. Get my point? Think about that.

I think that Brad Groznik is only partly correct in his assumptions. Calling Players "getto" is a definite reference to the color of the people who mainly frequent Players, who also happen to use the word "ghetto" much more than the average white kid.

Instead of taking the time writing a long winded opinion column about the misuse of the word "ghetto", how about writing one that addresses the fact that you never see Blacks with anyone else but Blacks when you walk down the street, or Whites with Whites, or Asians with Asians, Indians with Indians. When you break down that barrier, let us know, then we'll start worrying about the misuse of "getto" and "nigga".

You know, this type of narrowminded thought is so typical of the MTV generation I am so unwillingly a part of. Ya, lets talk about ghetto and nigga when the fucking kids on campus here don't even fucking talk to anyone outside there respective race. Does the big picture no longer mean anything to people now-a-days? And another thing, why are people so fucking sensitive? I was called a sand nigger in grade school by a few kids cause they knew I was Lebanese, some of them drew a camel in my notebook on a number of occasions. Big fucking deal. NIGGER. Big fucking deal. It is funny that if a white kid walks up to a black kid and says, in a friendly manner, "whats up nigga" with his hand out, waiting for the pound, he usually gets either beaten up or threatened. I have been wondering lately (after a discussion at a restaurant at 2 in the morning) , about the use of the rainbow to signify your sexual orientation. I must say, I don't care if you're gay. Neither does anyone else. Why then is it so pertinent to shove it in my face? I have recently read in the Collegian that one kid is afraid to walk around campus because he is worried about retaliation for his sexual orentation. Now, that is odd to me. If I'm walking on campus, and I don't see a rainbow hanging off your damn bookbag, I don't know if your gay or not. And again, not that I fucking care either. I guess my point is, I don't care about gay people. I don't care about straight people. What you do PRIVATELY is your own business, but when you begin to announce the fact that your gay, for no other reason than to shove it in everyone's faces, then I have a problem with it. F you, I say. If you have a problem with the way people react to your gayness then take the damn rainbow and shove it directly up your ass, girls and boys. Quit trying to get everyone to like you. Forced tolerance will only bring about greater hatred, disgust and spite. Not everyone in this world is going to like you, nor are they going to respect you for what you do. Why then, announce so defiantly that you are gay, then whine like a bitch when people have a problem with it??? Seriously....WTF

I've been getting more readers it seems and that makes me happy. Soooo, this time I'm actually going to agree with an opinion column in todays Collegian. It talks about smoking rights in public. Well, I'll just let you read it:

Reducing rights of smokers limits freedom for everyone

I can't take it anymore. All I'm looking for is a little relax-time to read The Daily Collegian, but every time I open the letters section I get nauseous ("Smokers violate basic rights given to all citizens in public," Feb. 21).

It makes me sick to hear another health nut whine about second-hand smoke in bars. You're not going to get lung cancer from a little smoke now and then. I think it is time for bar owners and smoking patrons in New York and other places to take back their rights to allow smoking if they wish.

The next thing will be cigarette smoke detectors in our homes to fine us for "our health's sake." If you have a problem with me smoking in a bar, let me know. I'll be sure to blow a nice cloud in your pretentious face.

I tend to agree with Jeff here. I am a conservative, as I'm sure you've all guessed by now. And in being a conservative there are a few things I like to see. One of them, is smaller government. There are some things I disagree with Jeff about and I'll get those out of the way first. Second-hand smoke causes cancer. Period. It is not good for you and does not benefit you in anyway. Also, If a bar owner in New York decides to ban smoking in his establishment, the Government, you and everyone else should keep their damn noses out of it. It is none of your business. You don't like it? Don't come back, go to a different bar where they allow smoking. HOWEVER, I do NOT agree with a county, state or federal law stating that an establishment should have to be smoke-free. That's ridiculus. I have to look up a little more about New York and Florida with their smoking bans because I'm not too sure where their legislature is coming from. Nonetheless, the people shall prevail against their government. As codename 'V' says, "People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people." I think this is a great example of where this should come into play. If you don't want laws passed prohibiting smoking in a bar or restaurant then write your representative. But if a bar owner takes it upon him/herself to ban smoking then that is their freedom. Jeff, though, at the end of his rant decides to be an asshole, saying, "If you have a problem with me smoking in a bar, let me know. I'll be sure to blow a nice cloud in your pretentious face.". That's just childish. There is a mutual respect that all people, to live together, must maintain. If Jeff did that to me in a bar, he'd have a high velocity Yuengling bottle to deal with. Seriously....WTF.

Personally, I hate smoking. I quit two years ago and ever since, cigarette smoke bothers the fucking hell out of me. I still go to bars but I try my hardest to stay away from the smokers. When me and my friends go out back in Pittsburgh, I bother the hell out of them about smoking and it's paid off. Most of them just strictly chew now, which I quit about a year ago, and wish I still did it because chew is God's gift to mankind. CSM is a badass.

Gays fight tough opposition as a result of their lifestyle

After reading Esmond Crooke's letter, "Annual Kiss-OUT event not worth news coverage," Feb. 17, I thought it came at an interesting time. The Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic (Thon) took place this weekend and after seeing the kids and their families, one cannot imagine what it would be like to live a life filled with struggle and pain. Clearly, no one would choose to live a life like that -- it is accepted as being biological, not a choice or punishment. Being gay is no different in that no one chooses to be that way. Why would a person choose to live a lifestyle in which rejection and struggle are so familiar? Thinking someone chooses to be gay is like thinking someone chooses to have a serious disease. It is not a choice; it is the hand that life has dealt you.
The Kiss-OUT recognized those who continuously fight opposition their lives have brought them, just as Thon recognizes the kids who strive to fight battles life has dealt them. So, unless you criticize The Daily Collegian for glorifying Thon by providing it space on the front page, you should realize no one willingly chooses a life filled with pain and personal strife.

We live in a world where anyone can be a martyr. Erin seems to think that gay people don't choose to live this life of strife and pain. I've gone over that already. What my biggest problem with this girl is her rather obscured view of the world. There are a few men and women called the UNITED STATES ARMED SERVICES. These people put their lives on the line so that we can be free. They choose this life. They live this life. They willingly choose this life. They are the martyrs of our nation. To even suggest that gay people are on that level (or anyone for that matter) is disgusting and childish.

Here at Penn State, we have a newspaper that claims to be the utmost "professional" outpost for the students....... They. Can. Not. Be. Serious. Fuck, just come out and say it! "We here at the daily collegian have a terrible bias towards the left." Fucking say it. If I could twist the proverbial arm, I would be doing that right about now. YESSSS. Read it bitches:

"Early childhood education should cover homosexuality

I have heard students from elementary school through college use the expression "That's so gay" as a response to just about anything. For many children and adolescents, this derogatory use of the word is the first understanding they have of a gay person.

For this reason, children in elementary school should learn about homosexuality as early as first grade when they begin to talk about family, and then again in fifth grade when they study the reproductive system. This might help children to grow up with a more accepting attitude toward gays if they are educated on homosexuality the way they are educated on other aspects of life, nature and the human body. For example, the following few simple statements could clear up a lot of confusion and misinformation: Homosexuality is not a choice; it's biologically determined. Homosexuality is not a disease. You can be friends with someone of the same sex who is gay and not be afraid that they will be attracted to you. If anyone fucked up the word usage, its the people who coined the USAGE of "gay" to mean heterosexually challenged. Another term for a gay person is queer. Right? When people use the phrase, "That's so gay" is it not always in context with something thats rather, QUEER? Hmm. Thats odd now isn't it. Someone, I think, has their belt strapped on too tight. "That's so gay" is a perfectly liable phrase through the bastardization of our language (thanks in part to the Rap Community). So, I guess all I'm trying to say about that part of Lori's expose is, frankly, that it's pretty gay. Now. On to the real substance of her message, the REAL reason she wrote in. This is going to be FUN:

Would you teach them that broken homes usually provide society with mal-adjusted teens and eventually adults? It is as plain as that. Gay "couples" should not be allowed to raise children. End of story. Thats all she wrote. If they want kids, they can be straight.

Apparently gays don't. Let's just get down to it shall we? The male's penis is meant for, and only for, one place in the female, which is the glorious vagina. And why might you ask? Soley to reproduce. I mean if we look at this straight-forward topic as a liberal would have it, we're all just animals anyways. Animals don't have sex other than to reproduce so my original hypothesis is correct. Penis=>Vagina. Look at the diagram and tell me what you see. A single male and a single female. There's a fucking reason for that folks. Its called biology. Man was meant, scientifically (which, in our liberal mindset, is the only thing that matters and is the utmost authority), for one other being, the Woman. And there you have it. Study it well. Ok, now to address the quote at hand. Lori, dear, what would you have us teach our impressionable children about homosexual reproductive systems? Should we be telling them that it is unnatural and ill-conceived? Should we tell them it is ok because it's sole purpose is PLEASURE. What then would become ok? Child pornography, beastiality (try explaining beastiality to a kid without naming names or pictures....sounds a bit like homosexuality, doesn't it????), polygamy? How could you refute their young inquiring minds? There is nothing wrong with any of those aforementioned practices due to the acceptibility of pleasure being the only reason why it is. The fact of the matter is that homosexuality does not fit with science! Then, I ask of you, where does it fit?

"Homosexuality is not a choice; it's biologically determined.". Fuck. I'm just gonna say it. This girl is lacking a brain. Only a dumbass would be so bold as to make that statement. What biological determinant impacts sexuality, Lori? The mysterious gay-ene? No. There is no such thing. There is no proof of that. Sticking with strictly science here folks, what, if there was a gene for homosexuality, would be its purpose? We all know, or at least those of us that are hetero, how to reproduce. If it is nature's intent to "sometimes" throw the gay-ene in there what should that tell you about how mother nature feels about that person. If they are incapable of feeling a desire for a woman (or man, depending on your gay sex) how then, are they capable of reproducing, like the rest of normal society? Is it truly mother nature's intent to weed out these individuals? If not, what would be her purpose to bastardize the gay-ene for the purpose of determining sexuality? We have opposable thumbs so we can manipulate objects, inner ear fluid to balance us, hair to keep us warm, perfectly tuned lenses in our eyes to precisely focus light, a system that regulates our body temperature (and one that even regulates the temperatur of our sperm), lungs that will heal themselves after quitting smoking, and a liver that regenerates itself. What is the gay-ene for then? Mental retardation is a biological problem that renders the individual incapable of doing many things. On levels, autism allows people to play music that no one thought was possible, or gives them the ability to read books and remember them line to line but impedes them from carrying on a normal conversation. These are all mother nature's tiny little screw-ups. There is no reason for them. What then, is the reason for the gay-ene and homosexuality if it was mother nature's intent, and if you can not find a reason, are you willing to agree that it is one of mother nature's screw-ups, one that is treatable? I think not. That would mean you would have to take on the opinion that there is something "wrong" with gay people. You would never do that. I suggest you think of the implications of your words before you decide to grace us with them.

I truly hope that she either drops out of school or changes her major because I can not honestly believe that someone of her caliber should be teaching our children. Seriously....WTF

Zero-tolerance punishments ineffective with young kids

Sarah Goldfarb's column on the six-year-old boy suspended from school for sexual harassment was excellent ("Young 'offenders' cannot grasp severity of sexual harassment," Feb. 10). The school system, instead of being "case sensitive," has zero-tolerance rules. That way no one (teachers, administrators, system lawyers) has to think. Hoist the ironic banner.

Gregory is undoubtedly a liberal. I think that's obvious enough. And even if he's not, it doesn't really matter cause he's a Grad student, and most Grad student are sugary. And who can take them serious...Anyways. This Nation that has been bastardized and demoralized by the liberal media outfits (like MTV) and liberal judges that legislate from the fucking bench has allowed this lackadaisical approach to punishment. This "case sensitive" approach is a great example of the lack of self-responsibility. Now, I realize that some kids will act out and the need for a good talk is pertinent. But if we spend so much time trying to categorize everyone, nothing will get done. If you watch South Park you'll know what I mean. The episode when all the kids were diagnosed with ADD is much closer to truth than parody. Sometimes when you categorize kids you alienate them, and kids do not need that shit. They need someone with a good head on their shoulders, strong moral background and practice, who makes sure they show their love for them. What this nation has a problem with is realizing that some kids are just fucking bad. So what do you do? Make them take responsibility. If a kid steals something and you thouroughly let them know what they did was fucked up, they'll get the lesson. We got smacked when we did something back. Now you can go to jail for it. Get your fucking thumbs out of your asses and pay attention to your kids. Then maybe they won't be getting into trouble. Take some fucking responsibility. Want to know what else is wrong with kids these days. Rap. Seriously....WTF.

The first is about Frats. Now, let's get serious, if you know anything about me, the one thing you know is that I hate frat boys. Here's the article:

PSU students benefit from presence of greek groups

In response to Lori Koch's letter, "Greek students not lifeline to PSU, surrounding areas," Feb. 7, I'd like to make a point. OK, so greek life isn't a big deal to Penn State, yeah right.

How many parade floats would there be during the Homecoming parade if fraternities and sororities didn't team up to build them? How many people can say they never stepped foot in a fraternity to attend a social function? How many more people would be looking for housing if we didn't have fraternity houses? How much more money would non-greek organizations have to raise for Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon to compensate for the money greeks raise?

The backbone affects the whole body, just as greek life affects the whole student body here at Penn State.

Ok Adam. Let's set some ground rules. First, frats are for guys with homo-erotic persuasions. Secondly, getting girls drunk and essentially raping them does not mean you're straight. Ok, now that thats out of the way I can get on to his article. Greek life isn't a big deal to normal, moral people. Let's get serious, debauchery, sodomy and drunkeness are not essential to the college experience and to those with real majors, like yourself, it is not highly recommended. Now, I actually laughed aloud when I read "How many parade floats would there be during the Homecoming parade if fraternities and sororities didn't team up to build them?". Honestly, you can not actually believe that parade floats contribute to the academia that is supposed to be Penn State. Seriously. The social functions you talk about next are trivial, they provide nothing to Penn State, they and their homo-eroticism are not essential to the lifeline of Penn State. Your housing argument is ridiculus too. These boys that join frats do not join them because housing is tight, are you that dumb. They join for the camaraderie of like minded boys who have those "special" feelings tucked far back in their brains. The only good point you made was the reference to THON, and I agree. The fraternaties do make a good contribution through THON. And "the buck stops there". Penn State's backbone is not the fraternities, it is it's Academia. Someone should jedi-mind trick you frat-boys to ditch the hair dye, popped collars and Finance degrees and become men. But, I wouldn't expect that from the frats. I mean, they have beer to drink. Seriously....WTF.

Some European newspapers irresponsibly ran cartoons

The Daily Collegian's editorial, "Depictions of Muhammad: Violent response unwarranted by Islamic world," Feb. 7, missed one key point of this growing problem -- many European newspapers republished the cartoons after violence broke out. Some did this to simply show the public the cartoons, but some purposely did it as a slap in the face to Muslims.

While I in no way, shape or form condone the violent acts taking place throughout much of the Muslim world, I do understand the outrage many Muslims feel after their beliefs were mocked by some European newspapers. While these newspapers have a right to publish freely, they also have a responsibility to not publish any material for pure shock value, especially when they know there is a very good chance of violent repercussions.

The newspapers that did this bear some of the responsibility for the wave of protests and violence.

You don't see Catholics or protestants burning flags and mocked bodies out in front of the stations that air the jokes. Why then is it that we should be sympathetic with Islam when they, for all of modern history, sook out a way to further their agenda of "Kill all infidels". Ryan said, "especially when they know there is a very good chance of violent repercussions.", what kind of bullshit is that? Why is there a fucking good chance of violent repercussions? Why is it that we should bite our tongues when it comes to criticizing Islam for what we all know is true? Why is it acceptable for Islam to act out in violence and barbarism? These people are the bastard kids that no one wants to take care of so they just let them do as they please. Take a good look at that picture. Read those fucking signs. That is what Islam is becoming. "Behead those who insult Islam", "Europe, you will pay, your 9/11 is on it's way". Are these humans we are dealing with? There is a fucking little kid there. A little fuking kid who is not going to know anything other than "Behead those who insult Islam". What the fuck is wrong with these people? They are destroying whatever semblance of truth and peace their religion once had, if at all. And what is worse is that no one in power in Islam is speaking out. Do not be fooled by what you read in the newspapers, by what the ACLU would have you believe. Islam, clearly, does not want peace.

Islam wants the blood of the infidels and they will stop at nothing until they establish their racist theocracy, until the world bows to Mecca or forfeits their heads in its honor. Religion of peace. Seriously....WTF

YES, this one is going to prove itself worthy. After a minimal amount of research on our subject, I found something very interesting in his files on stalkersearch. tzb114@psu.edu, seems to think that the issue of abortion is hilarious, otherwise, what would be the reason for saving something so heinous? Anyways, Timothy will be spared of my abortion rant for now, but don't you readers worry, It will come in time. Anyways, back to the issue, Timothy wrote into the The Daily Collegian with the following letter to the editor:

"Discrimination comments show Republican beliefs

Once again, the College Republicans have amazed me with their flagrant hypocrisy. In a statement published in
The Daily Collegian Wednesday, Vicky Cangelosi stated that "Discrimination is discrimination," in reference to the supposed liberal bias in classroom settings ("UCLA alum offers money for proof of bias," Feb. 1).

However, isn't Cangelosi's political group affiliated with the party that believes in discrimination only when the Constitution explicitly spells it out? Indeed, she is. So who is she to talk about discrimination? United States Senate Republicans from every state scramble to ensure that discrimination policies remain etched in stone and do not expand to meet the times. But of all the discrimination debates, political discourse in an academic environment is not a form of discrimination.

Perhaps if the College Republicans had something remotely articulate to say in these classes, there could be real debate instead of this incessant whining. The College Republicans need to come back into reality where there is separation between what is actually discrimination and what is just a persecution complex.

Timothy obviously is a dumb ass, as he has completely missed the whole point of the whole "discrimination" debate, but I wouldn't expect much more from a liberal. After all, they are dumb asses. His claim of Republican's sticking to the strict doctrine of the Constitution is more flattering than it is insulting once you realize that he has spoken out in error. What Timothy got wrong lies in what discrimination is being committed. He claims, "...political discourse in an academic environment is not a form of discrimination" which is a somewhat viable argument. If a teacher wants to explain the goings on of the political environment to his/her class, when applicable, they [professors] are welcome to. However, discrimination starts when students, when faced with a political bias spewing forth from their profs, makes them uneasy and worried about voicing their opinion for fear of academic retaliation. Sound far feched? Try again. I've heard many stories of students who had to falsify papers betraying their own opinions just because some liberal teacher would, and had, given them a worse grade for it [their true opinion] in the past. Most of these biases come up during the non-science/math classes that we are forced, as "academics", to take. You don't hear about how bad social security is when you're studying 3-phase power, which is why the sciences are great. Nonetheless, not all classes, I suppose, can be science classes and therefore we are forced to take the standard pre-reqs and it is in those classes that liberal professors try to work their magic. Timothy, unfortunately, is so close minded that he probably thinks this is an impossibility. However, being a dumb ass, he is clearly wrong. No one would care if a professor tried to bring a little politics into the class, asking for opinions of students and encouraging debate. Yet, when the students feel threatened by the professors' overwhelming political/homosexual/activist bias, the line must be drawn. Our friend Timothy clearly decided he wouldn't put on his thinking cap when he got out of bed and wrote that article. I can see how a liberal wouldn't think there was any bias in higher academics, because frankly, most of the teachers are liberals themselves. So maybe his ignorance is due to a lack of diversity. Now wouldn't that be something. As I've continued to say, the liberal motto is, "free speech for all, as long as we agree". Seriously....WTF!

(The Black Caucus made allegations last semester about the environment on campus not being conducive to learning do to "racial" tensions and discrimination. Sparked only by one incident of pure childishness, we we're forced to endure months of whining by the Black Caucus about said incident and the subsequent phantom climate. The liberals on campus backed them. What is different with the situation of political bias in the classrooms? Think about that one and write a comment.)

(I will, later, go on to discuss this phantom "racial" climate on campus and how I believe the whole ordeal about it was really just a stunt for leverage.)

The opinions over at The Daily Collegian really sucked today and bordered on eleven year old brain capacity. Yet, I somehow knew it would be like that. Sooooo, I've decided to write about something that has been bothering me deep inside for a little over a year now. So, let's say I'm walking to EE365 nice and early around noon. I take a right down Allen Street and make my way towards campus and the Willard building. However, I believe that I may have seen some strange people walking about, yet it could just be my imagination. As I near PSU I am sure I have seen it. Without a doubt, there are characters from Megaman walking around campus. I think you all know what I mean. Barring the obvious lack of the blaster and blue helmet, the girls walking around campus look like female Megamen. You may be wondering what I am referring to and I will tell you right now: UGG BOOTS AND SLINKY PANTS. What the fuck is going on here girls. These Ugg boots you all seem to have shopped for together are making you look like skinny little eskimo sluts. Then to top it all off you have the huge fucking sunglasses that you saw on some Hollywood coke-head that wears them to hide the huge dark circles and bags under her coked-out eyes. Seriously, did you all just get up one day together, have some fucked up conference with nothing but MTV playing and decide that you would wear these ugly-ass sunglasses. What the fuck. You look TERRIBLE. Absolutely terrible. Have you asked anyone what you look like? Like a slut welder that's wearing Megaman boots, baggy sleeping pants and a puffy fur lined jacket. You all look the same. You're almost as bad as the kids who listen to rap and can't make a rational decision on what to wear out of the house so they just watch the latest [insert retard rap star name here] video and march to the closet to get their ensemble ready. I found this written in the opinion column of my campus' daily newspaper, the Daily Collegian. I think that is what the topic of this blog is going to be from now on, dumb ass comments in the opinion column and my responses (I'll also try to find pictures of the dumb asses on PSU's stalkersearch and maybe even facebook, which is gay by the way). I hope to update it daily. I suppose this is number one. Enjoy!

"President should adhere to FISA wiretapping regulations

In response to Gerard Rihl's letter, "Domestic wiretapping typical for government," Jan. 27, I think I speak for most of us "liberals" and even some conservatives when I say that I am all for the protection of our great nation in this "War on Terror."

However, I am also for the Constitution, its ideals, and the single most powerful notion that no one American is above the law. Not even President George Bush. So when I am told that the White House is authorizing wiretaps to "protect our freedoms," I am giving them a "big thumbs up." But when I find out that the White House is authorizing wiretaps without approval from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court, then I have a problem. The FISA court was established to ensure that there is not an abuse of power with the National Security Agency. Even further, the FISA court is extremely lenient on wiretapping.

When FISA is ignored, Bush could be protecting our nation or he could be protecting his Republican interests. He could even be pulling a Richard Nixon and be intercepting Democratic Party communications. He could be listening to a cute girl's voice or he could be listening to guys in Iceland and laughing as he listens to how funny they sound. Without FISA, it's whatever tickles his pickle, really... and that terrifies me.

I wrote the Daily Collegian just a few minutes ago and this is what I sent in...

"In response to Jonathon Freezer's letter to the editor yesterday, I only have a few things to say. I seem to remember you and your "liberal" buddies, as you have deemed yourself, complaining and asking questions of our President to explain why we didn't know of the conspiracy to destroy the World Trade Center. During the President's speech last night, I believe he did a good job shoving your complaints about federal wiretapping. The terrorists who were responsible for the greatest tragedy in American history were communicating with Al-Qaeda on over-seas phone calls. Had we known about those calls, we wouldn't be missing 3,020 of our own citizens. Your problem clearly lies in the fact that the President who is in office right now is George W. Bush. You are of the same ilk that complains about everything the President does, good or bad. You are the finest example of partisan politics and ideologies. I truly believe your tinfoil hat is on too tight."

I think that's a pretty good response to a dumbass liberal like Jonathon Freezer. I mean, seriously, who does he think the President is going to wiretap? We have better things to do than to worry about who's receiving donations, or in the case of an illustrious democrat, blowjobs. We're not at war with the Democrats. We're not at war with ordinary citizens. We ARE at war with the Islamofascists who are and have been destroying the Middle East and who are hiding in our own country (and who got here through our open borders). He talks of this FISA court that is supposed to protect those who may be victim of improper and illegal wiretaps, regardless if they are commiting a crime. However, what he seems not to realize, illegal or not, if we're wiretapping some Islamofascist who is planing to terrorize our people and our Nations intrests and we stop him before hand, THAT'S A GOOD THING. Courts just hold things like this up. Don't get me wrong, I am not advocating illegal wiretaps on individuals who are or are not commiting crimes (drug rings, child pornographers ect...) but what I am advocating is trust in President who I think has made some good decisions on foreign relations (and again, don't get me wrong, I know he's not perfect). We are wiretapping foreign calls of suspected terrorists. If you have nothing to hide, then quite bitching. Ok, so I've finished the homework I had to do for tomorrow in this class called "Electronic Circuit Analysis and Design," and all I could think about was how bad it fucking sucked. I mean, I am NEVER going to use this information after I graduate. NEVER! I figure it is just a way for universities to claim even more money from their students who are already strapped for cash. But thats not even the worst part. When's the last time you had to buy books for class in college. For the love of GOD it is expensive. WTF!?, $150 for a stupid-ass book that I'll use for 15 weeks then be able to sell it back for $25, that doesn't even make sense!!! Then the bastards go back and sell the books for $80 or $90, it's almost f/n illegal. Seriously. Which, is why, I choose to exploit our third0world friends in the Wherever Republic of WhoCares. They're called international editions, from a variety of publishers (www.oup.com). On the backs of these books it reads, "Special Edition for sale in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Myanmar only and not for export therefrom"......................F....................THEM.................... Those F'ers can't read English!! I mean, this book is uually $125 and I got the international edition for 35 DOLLARS!!!!!! 35 DOLLARS compared to $125, thats $90 less than what I would have had to pay if I went to the university bookstore. Now, does ANYONE have a rational and good explanation to why the hell universities should be allowed to rip off their students in this manner?

I suppose what I really want to say is, I will forever exploit these "Low Price" and "International" editions for as long as I am in school.
